It would depend on how well the different Ganons can communicate though. They might be active, (and the different timelines show that this is the case) but they may not be able to communicate to each what's happening in their timelines. It could be an interesting twist though. Imagine if there were two games released at the same time, and if you had save data for one game on your console it affected the others. Like one set in the BOTW timeline and one in the AOC timeline. (Since Ganon is only sealed there, not gone.) It could be interesting if the games played similarly, but depending on what you do in one game it changes how Ganon reacts in the other. Obviously they'd need to be playable separately, but with an added bonus to purchasing and playing both would be a really cool way to A) have more content and B) incentivize purchasing more games.

Before this theory, I personally thought Astor’s betrayal was nothing more than a callback to Sooga’s statement about how Ganon wasn’t something that mortals could control. In the cutscene where he was betrayed, his voice and body language when saying “Here me Calamity Ganon! It’s time for you to devour these-“ gave me the idea that he was trying to tell Calamity Ganon what to do while blinded by rage. Which is what Sooga said was impossible and it probably angered Calamity Ganon- if I were a powerful entity with some edgy sidekick telling me what to do, I’d be pissed off too. Regardless, this was an amazing theory you two have come up with- I never would’ve thought that Ganon had done what he did to become stronger as a last ditch effort due to the manifestation of malice within Astor. Keep up the good work :)

Correct me if I’m wrong idek if this makes sense lol A theory(I guess?) about Calamity Ganon: Could Ganon have been planning to consume Zelda and link’s souls in order to obtain the other two pieces of the triforce? i came to this conclusion after thinking about how ganon had made sure to take down the champions first and seemingly steer link and Zelda back towards the castle. I know it’s not exactly certain that the triforce pieces are within link and Zelda as of BOTW but it doesn’t seem impossible.

That is why the champions were caught by surprise. Zelda and Link leave early in the morning in order to get back by sunset, but Calamity Ganon knew they knew this (remember that the Yiga Clan captured Purah and Robbie while they were analyzing Terrako) so he attacked Hyrule early. Awesome video! I've watched a bunch of your theories recently, and the analysis and connections have been making it even more fun playing the game. I truly appreciate that you approach the topics you discuss with an archeological systematic assessment! It's all very satisfying. One observation: you drew the parallel between the spheres pulled from the Yiga and the "essence" pulled from Link by the Horned Statue. I'd venture a step further and say that those orbs look exactly like (barring the tainted color of malice) the Spirit Orbs granted to Link throughout BOTW by the Sheikah Monks in each shrine. This leads me to conclude that the Orbs are the monks' preserved Life Force (though the description just calls them a "symbol of courage...") gifted to the hero to increase his strength to overcome Calamity Ganon (which is exactly what they do for Link by way of increasing his heart capacity and stamina). Like you said in the video, the object or orb pulled from link is pure, while the Yiga and Astor yield a Spirit Orb tainted by their malevolence. Calamity Ganon takes the unwillingly-given, malice-fueled Life Forces from the Yiga and Astor. Link is strengthened by the freely-give, benevolent and pure Life Forces of the Sheikah Monks stored and preserved for that exact purpose over millennia to restore the balance of good and evil. Pretty poetic that the Sheikah and their defector counterparts, the Yiga, both end up fueling one side of the battle with their very essence, the first making the sacrifice knowingly, and the second, out for their own gain, unwittingly sacrificing their literal souls to the power they hoped to profit by. Thanks for creating such killer content!

This is such an interesting theory! I love all of your malice episodes and this brings so much more new information to the table! My impression for Age of Calamity’s moment when the Calamity officially strikes is in the morning of Zelda’s 17th. birthday, not the evening. I think she sets off when she did in the prime timeline. Had things continued as expected, she would have gone up to Mt. Lanayru, and then come down in the evening. They were hoping to awaken Zelda’s power that day, though they probably didn’t know she had tried and failed in the prime timeline. The surprise is that he attacks before she leaves the castle. It’s why the Divine Beast pilots are making preparations to deploy instead of deploying at that time - they were thinking about where to put the Divine Beasts in several hours to best shield the land and make counter attacks once the Calamity awakens.

There's also the fact he fed off the despair and fear of the now formless citizens and soldiers when zant plunged twilight over hyrule. In a way, the golden barrier is similar to the boss key in skyward sword's lanayru's mining facility with its coloring and circuitry appearance--a barrier that likely activated because ganon returned to trap him in the castle. And what breaks this barrier? The fused shadows. What does the fused shadows look like when combined? A guardian stalker.

I think if the weight of a soul is capable of making a crystal (good or evil) it’s not crazy that Astor would be able to remove a soul that’s completely tainted by malice like the Yiga clans. As for the stronger Blights it’s possible the blights were actually just weaker in BotW and Harbinger Ganon just made them stronger when he saw the heroes were coming together with Teraco.
@theemeraldenderman30073 жыл бұрын
Say, you might be onto something about the blights. Considering how different Age of Calamity’s blights look from botw’s (albeit slightly different), there does seem to be a bit of a power difference between them. Plus, botw’s blights didn’t really do a whole lot when you think about it. Aside from killing the champions and taking the divine beasts, they only really started becoming a serious threat just prior to Link’s reawakening, after a hundred years of sleep. They had a hundred years to dedicate to terrorizing and laying waste to the other races, but instead they just sat in their corners menacingly and being annoying.

I'd like to point something out about the blight clone of Link, while what you said is likely true about Calamity Ganon using the other blight clones to analyze Link's fighting style to possibly counter it, I think its also a small nod to Dark Link an enemy you fight in some of the games starting with Link's Adventure though most will likely know it best from OoT as the mid-boss of the Water Temple. Its a small almost unnoticeable detail but its a detail worth noting since Dark Link is something of a constant throughout the series.

@King Astor Dragmire if you're gonna roleplay as someone atleast do it right. Astor would be honoured to be called evil, and definetly not cry. And hes not king. Cringe bro

Hey, I have an interesting idea for a theory. On the map to the right of Hyrule castle where a shrine is, you’ll find a crenel hill. This place was always really weird to me. It has these strange wide open holes inside these what seems to be wooden buildings and has a ton of wizrobes on it. The structures look really weird, almost man made, but also look natural for some reason. Idk, is just looked really interesting so maybe it can make for a good theory video. (Love your stuff btw!)

Watched the first part of this on XenoGamers channel. It was phenomenal. This looks equally FANTASTIC. Whichever of you made the name for Praymortum, please make a separate book from it. It deserves its own narrative away from Zelda. It could be an awesome story as presented!

The real reason the alternate Calamity Ganon was never seen again after the final battle: That was the one that got vaporised by Galeem at the start of World of Light

This is pretty much how I viewed the events! Only difference is that I belive that the merger between BotW Ganon and AoC Ganon happened when the Calamity awoke. Calamity Ganon is a sentient fore of nature at this point, a storm with a will. Harbringer Ganon is a gust of wind that picks up pace as the game progresses and when the great storm of the Calamity comes forth, he is not so much absorbed or united with the other, but instead melded together. Calamity Ganon is also a Puppet Ganon on steroids, a dark force controlled by Ganondorf's will. To AoC's Ganon, this might be like suddenly remembering something he had forgotten. God I love this game series!

I recently saw a theory that the moon is a 4th divine beast, I think it was made before the zero cycle was revealed. But that idea stuck around in my head, what if the ancient shiekah made it to help revive soldiers in battle and the blood moon is gannon attempting to corrupt it that's why it revives monsters

New Zelda Theory: It’s Almost Over However link and Zelda time travel (this all depends on if they do), they could possibly go back to where link defeats Demise and stop him from making the curse, therefore ending the battles and yeah...

Well of course Ganon is able to be able to appear in two separate timelines at once. He is like Hylia in many ways. I imagine he too can be able to peel back the timelines and find the best possible way to beat back hylia and her chosen heroes.

In AoC when Calamity Ganon returns, I think that is actually a sunrise. Because Zelda hasn't been at the spring of wisdom yet, but rather is getting ready to go there. So they got caught off guard because Ganon's return isn't supposed to happen for another few hours.

17:40 didn't NCB already make a vid about that camaity ganon is a puppet? Because that means that harbinger Ganon and the 4 blights are all puppets of ganondorf. Each may have it's own toughts, but all under control of ganondorf

As soon as I saw the definition I knew where the theory was going. (Note: I havent watched it besides the first 5 seconds yet) The other tarako (spoilers for hyrule warriors) is corrupted by calamity ganon. That either means that the other tarako who is corrupted is the harbinger for calamity Ganon or a new Ganon.

Open question is what is the boar like cloud circling the Castle. It's movement suggests it's sentient. It's already there before Ganon appears, and reappears after dark beast Ganon is defeated.

Just had a thought: In the Shrines in BOTW, the monks give Link a spirit orb before disappearing, and it restores Link's life force(and can create heart containers or stamina vessels). The monks then cease to exist afterward. Almost as if they gave away their life force to the hero. We see Astor harvesting what looks like spirit orbs from the Yiga clan footsoldiers to strengthen malice. If you touch malice in BOTW, you lose life force. Maybe Malice acts as a sort of anti-life, sort of like anti-matter is to matter in theoretical physics.
