Theres a popular theory going around, it might be a little out there but the facts don’t lie. The Yiga all dress very similarly, they all live to serve their master, they have the one eye design. The only visible hair is on their head, they have survived for centuries and they all love bananas. Also, the new favorite foods of the Sheikah are Fortified Pumpkins, which increase defense, and Swift Carrots, which make you go faster. That shows that they no longer want to fight. And the prong on the Eightfold Blade seems like it could be used for catching an enemy’s sword to disarm the enemy.

Another potential solution to your issue around why Link would be frightened by the Blights. I always assumed he developed PTSD (or something similar, I’m no mental health professional) because, though the boss fights are easy, being faced off against a foe of such magnitude that killed your friends, one of your love interests, and Ravioli would probably have a significant mental impact. 14:52-15:17 This sounds crazy, but hear me out: What if Revali didn't have the Great Eagle Bow in his battle with Windblight Ganon? It would explain its abscence in the rematch fight. Revali claimed he could've taken it on and won if he wasn't unlucky, which does sound in-character with his blowhard nature, but maybe he was telling the truth? If he didn't have his best weapon on him for some reason, of course he wouldn't be able to fight at his full potential. Alternatively, if the rematches are based on the fears of the Champions', maybe a big fear Revali had was that without such a weapon, he felt worthless next to the other Champions? It's interesting to note that out of all of them, Revali isn't a proper knight like Link (who's own father was a revered knight himself), or a tribal leader/royalty like the others. Being next to others born into greatest or had a lineage, while he had to work his way there, must've hurt his ego immensely. Heck, of the other Champions, Link's the closest of them to a commoner like Revali, and the former was granted the title of the Hero of Legend. Of course Revali would be jealous towards him. But hey, that's just a theory.

My theory: The reason why the champions have divine beasts is because Maz Koshia most likely gave the champions trials and when they completed them, they acquired a divine beast, if this is true, then Link is a divine beast tamer, therefore, the master cycle is part of his divine beast (the divine beast he acquired when he defeated Maz Koshia, the bigger version of the master cycle is the divine beast), don't quote me, this is just a theory.

To answer why revalis bow isnt in the fight in the illusory realm, the reason being that it probably broke during the fight considering that this is botw and he uses his weapon the most out the all the champions because it is shown in memories that revali constantly trains, and when he dose it causes more damage to the bow due to how it has a string and isnt metal like a sword. In otherwords, training with a bow damages the bow more than it would if you were training with a sword.

Each blight was created to be the hard counter for the champion it fights against. The tornadoes Windblight creates can throw Revali out of the sky and make his arrows lose their direction, it shoots way faster than him and it has help from his flying miniguns. Also apparently Revali fought him at night. This doesn't seem like a big problem until we learn from a rito woman in gerudo town that a rito doesn't have great night vision, so all Revali could rely on was the sound of moving wind, which isn't really helpful when you fight on something that is high in the sky, constantly moving and you hear the wind rushing past it the whole time, and the few lights that Windblight had on him. I don't have night vision myself. Trust me when I say that these few things don't really help to pinpoint where something is at night. But its still impressive that he apparently lasted the longest out of all the champions, if you consider that his SOS, which you can hear when you are in Vah Medoh, started way later than the other champions SOS which lead many fans to believe that Revali lasted the longest against his blight and only sent out the SOS when he was nearly dead

I've been replaying the series in preparation for Age of Calamity, and something struck me about the Gorons that reminded me of something. Then I realized it: the Pequeninos (Portugese for Little Ones, alternatively Piggies) from Orson Scot Card's book "Speaker for the Dead" and other books in the "Ender's Game" series. (Spoilers for Speaker for the Dead) Both species seem to only have one gender, and call each other "Brother" with very rare references to Father/Son. Both species seem very tied to their environment, with Gorons basically being rocks living on a mountain (and seem to turn more rocky/ volcano-ish as they get older), and the Pequeninos live in the forest and turn into trees when they die. Both are suprisingly good craftsmen with their particular material (wood for Pequeninos, stone and iron for Gorons) and work well with humans/ hylians but generally keep to their own civilization and cities. "Speaker for the Dead" came out in 1986 to interest and acclaim in the Sci-Fi community, winning the Hugo and Nebula awards. There was plenty of time for the developers to read it and include some inspirations from it into the Gorons for Ocarina of Time (over 10 years). I'd be interested about what others think about this, and if anyone else even realized that there was a whole series of books that followed the famous "Ender's Game." Anyone who is interested can make a video on this. It might lead to some new and interesting theories about Gorons.

What if when you distract yiga enemies or Maz Koshia they got damage buffs. I would be a cool idea, you can distract them but if you mess up then they are more powerful than if you were to kill them without the bananas.

Who here listens or used to listen to video game creepypasta? I used to listen to Metroid creepypasta, and 2 of my pesonal favs are 1. A NES Metroid creepypasta that at the end of the story, Samus is nude and, if I remember correctly, pregnant, the story itself to me is not scary for most of the story, and 2. A Super Metroid creepypasta where the speaker's best friend died shortly after somehow losing their final E tank after encountering a shadowy enemy that I believe is one of those shadow enemies in some areas of Metroid Fusion that will start dealing damage once an X parasite comes into contact with it, and the same E tank losing thing was happening to the speaker whenever they encountered that same enemy and then saved at a save station, and then reopening the game after quite a while. (P.S. I will find these videos so that I can edit their links into this comment so that yall can watch these) (Edit 1: I have found that NES Metroid creepypasta, so here is the link to it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWHakoGnpthmjac, but I have yet to find that Super Metroid one) Edit 2: I believe I have found that Super Metroid creepypasta, so here is the link to it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXu7hHufj66drbM, and note that I made this comment on December 2nd, 2020, at 7:41 or 7:36 PM in Arkansas, with these edits being made at 7:45 PM and 7:47 PM on the same day)

I'm so glad to hear someone else feels the Great Plateau was raised unnaturally, though I never thought to equate it with the Divine Beast. It would make sense, though, if Hyrule Castle IS rising from the ground in the trailer for the sequel.

I have a theory. In the "true ending" for Breath of the Wild, Zelda says "We'll make our way to Zora's Domain. Divine Beast Vah Ruta... looks like it stopped working. Let's investigate the situation." Now, why bring that line up? Well, in the Breath of the Wild 2 trailer, there aren't any shines. You could argue that after defeating Gannon, Link and Zelda made the sheika towers go back under ground and thus the shines did the same. But, what if Gannon is recorrupting the Divine Beasts. What if by the when the trailer takes place, he has even corrupt the 5th divine beast and now Link and Zelda went to Hyrue Castle to see if there was any bits of Gannon remaining. But when they get there, Gannon realizes their presence and causes an earthquake under Hyrue Castle making Link and Zelda to fall into the cave in the trailer. Hope you see this, NBC.

I wonder if maybe the fifth divine beast is stationary because its not supposed to fight, but instead is a power station for other tech, like the towers around the map. It does have power plant similarities on the inside

I purposefully stalled in that battle just to listen to the music. Maz Koshia has good music taste

The Yiga could have been Maz Koshia's disciples/followers, and part of the reason they defected may have been the decision to effectively imprison their master for possibly eternity within a shrine--mummified and immortal, denied rest--for some hero that was believed dead/proven weak during the initial Calamity. Demoralized, estranged Sheikah mourning the loss of their beloved mentor. Just a thought, and feeds into Kohga and others wielding similar abilities.

Just feel compelled to throw it out there that Maz Koshia can be used in Age of Calamity battle “Miss Vai Battle Pageant” in which only female-presenting characters can be used, implying that MK is a girl, or non-gendered. Since the gorons are also allowed and we know gerudo can’t tell the difference in gender amongst gorons (ex the male goron in BOTW in gerudo town), but Gerudo appear to be able to correctly identify other humanoid races, I’m going to assume MK is non-gendered.

They probably didn't add the great eagle bow because of game balance since it would deal 84 damage every time fired (not accounting for crits) and has a fast rate of fire you can go into bullet time mode and nuke windblight with no effort, since these fights are meant to be challenging it would trivialize the battle

You can play as Monk Maz Koshia in the game where you can play as the four champions(Daruk Revali, Urbosa and Mipha), Impa, Zelda. Also the same game where terrako(time traveling egg guardian) 100 yrs. ago to prevent the calamity. Will say the title a altered name Hyrule heroes: age of calamity.
@dionhazelnut40553 жыл бұрын
Personally I see Maz Koshia's line of the fear that dwells within as Link's own fear of Ganon and his previous failure to save Hyrule, as well as fear of the blights themselves because they killed the champions, as courage is not the lack of fear but overcoming it
