I think that that the reason for the inconsistency for how Link’s Sheikah Slate is referred to (A Sheikah Slate vs The Sheikah Slate) might be because some people only knew of the one Slate while others knew that Purah had made another.

I love the idea that the house Link bought from abandonment was his family home. He was drawn to it for an unconscious reason, and fixed it up so well that it’s almost like he’d been there before. As for why it wouldn’t trigger a memory, it may have and we just never saw it since it wasn’t important to the plot. Or, it didn’t hit him until later when the events of the story are over and he and Zelda quest off to rebuild Hyrule.

@rainyrayrae5 жыл бұрын
nowonmetube I mean??? They’re both even-toed ungulates. They’re in the same Order - Artiodactyla. So yeah they’re kind of close? About as close as say, a raccoon and a bear, which are both part of the order Carnivora. Maybe not even that close, because technically whales, dolphins, and porpoises are also in the order Artiodactyla. However, the species name of a giraffe is “camelopardalis” which is a combination of “camel” and “leopard” and refers to the giraffe’s similar shape to a camel and it’s similar pattern to a leopard. TL; DR: They’re close, but not close enough that you could say “giraffes are basically just long-necked camels right??” It’d be like saying “raccoons are basically just tiny bears, right?” Like, you aren’t WRONG, but you aren’t RIGHT either. @nonoctoro49335 жыл бұрын
@Maren Mol Because it had already been translated. What does it says, the meaning of it ? Gerudo are proud female warriors and they survive in the Gerudo Desert, a place not very suited for Life. One of Ganondorf's reason for invading Hyrule, aside from Demise's Hatred, was the deadliness of the Desert's Winds. Here, the Gerudo proudly says that they will face the sun no matter what. They would no longer fall into Envy and jealousy, causing wars to Hylians. A rejection of the Dark Past and an embracement of their nature, as female warriors of the Desert. That's my interpretation of it ...

@JonLucy_downunder5 жыл бұрын
UnderTale The Human Seeing as it’s (the final trial) pretty much a shrine, and that all of the shrines were meant for Link, yeah it’s likely. It got me thinking, since the Sheikah could essentially tell the future, and also how the interiors of the other four Divine Beasts seemed like Sheikah shrine trials. Were the Divine Beasts designed by the Sheikah for Link to go inside to free from Ganon’s control, because they knew Ganon would take control of them? And therefore the Champions were foretold to die from the Blight Ganons during the Great Calamity, but the Sheikah could only help/prepare Link because they were outcasted by the royal family of Hyrule?

BotW gameplay spoilers! - - - A theory that I came up with regarding the 5th divine beast is that Link wasn't transported to it but was shrunk down instead and the final divine beast is actually the Master Cycle with the puzzles being different ways of repairing/fixing the cycle. The last divine beast had all the components for a vehicle to be powered (water, electricity, heat and wind) and in the fight with the last monk, we see that the Sheikah had the ability to grow in size so we can assume that they can do the opposite.
@SincerelyVince4 жыл бұрын
I haven't unlocked the 5th beast yet. This sounded like a pretty good theory with the vehicle stuff. However, "they can grow, so we may assume they can shrink" - wut? I threw that logic into Prolog, and I got slapped by my computer. Yeah, maybe they can "revert" back to their original form after growing, which may require shrinking. But there's nothing for us to assume they can shrink beyond their original form.

Personally, this is just me, and I did see someone comment earlier about how they love how the Lore is not always there, leaving room for the player to find importance to whatever. I suck at trying to explain shit. But I do think the gerudo women, albeit an only woman race, which would probably and more likely come off as a dominant trait, no matter who the reproduce with, so either way they end up a girl and the same traits of physicality that you see in just about everything Gerudo. I do see that there is a chance for them to allow trans men, non binary people, who I believe are the gorons in my personal view of the game. Therefore, just in my personal view, there are chances that these women can actually repopulate and reproduce. Whether it is with a trans man, a non binary person who could just have a penis. The gerudo women are seemingly confusing and complicated when it does come to the allowing in their city. But I personally like to think while the Hylians may find problems with people, not being a man or woman mentally, physically and sexually, I do like to think that other races, like the Gerudo's would not mind it, as it is a possible way they reproduce. Now not everyone will be non binary or trans, but this also begs the question of how they would reproduce otherwise. Hylians are definitely an option, and so could the male born every 100 years. It would not surprise me if Ganon actually helped conceive a lot of Gerudo woman in his teenage/early adult years. This is just my point of view on it, this is just how I see it and when I can finally buy and play the game then just watching theories and let's plays, it is probably how I'll see the game be played and how I will experience it myself. :)

A favourite theory of mine is the SOS Morse codes in the divine beasts music. In each piece of music, an SOS call can be heard. For every one except Vah Medoh, each SOS call is slower and can be heard in the background. There’s a theory the SOS call was made when the champion died. Revali’s SOS call was fast, panicked and a lot after then the rest. It suggests Revali lasted the longest in his battle, and he eventually swallowed his pride to make the call, and he was panicking. Every time I complete Vah Medoh, I just hear this one quick, fast, panicked SOS call. It gives me chills every time.

I think there's more evidence that Link lived in Hateno Village. Before the calamity, Link was known for two things aside from his swordsmanship: riding and marksmanship. In Hateno, there's a hunting mini-game, and just outside the village there's an old horse racing track that also includes targets to shoot. This would explain why he's so skilled in both those areas, as he had these places so close to him as he was growing up and therefore he could train more often

The Gorons acually do have a gender, correct me if I am wrong but there is a shrine quest where one Goron is mining a wall (which has a shrine behind it) but is too tired, so his BROTHER tells you that HIS BROTHER needs help..... What do you think?
@nonoctoro49335 жыл бұрын
He was really saying "sexeless". If you go with social theories about Gender, they identifies as males.
@NFITC15 жыл бұрын
They just use "Brother" to denote kinship rather than "blood" relationships (it's doubtful that they even have blood). There is never any mention of goron females so having distinctions of "brother" and "sister" would have no context for them. Culturally they probably thought "friend" just didn't describe the relationship they had/wanted with themselves and their close allies and settled on brother. A bond which cannot be broken. A few gorons have been declared as havin a "son", but they never elaborate on how said sons came into being.
@theloruleanhistorian5 жыл бұрын
@Occult Claymore that's incorrect. Gender is a societal expression of one's identity, while sex is something physical and biological.
@chairking27595 жыл бұрын
The most simple way to put it is: Gorons reproduce asexually (I personally think they create their young using special rocks at death mountain) but they use male pronouns and refer to each other as “brother” as a sign of respect.

The dead sheikah woman would make sense because she had business left in the living world to attend to, the yoga killed her and she may have needed to see her daughters grow up before her job was done. Her soul hasn’t settled so there’s no reason for her to not be there

Something that supports the 'Gorons have a trade system with the Gerudo' is that they can be seen in Zora's Domain. Think about it, the Zora wear pretty much nothing except for jewelry that would obviously require gems. It would make sense for them to need these gems to come from Death Mountain.

Ok so this isn't mentioned anywhere, and I only just found out about it. During the blood moon, if you go to dueling peaks stable an (in game)hour before and after, you will find Hino running around the stable and his text boxes are all in red and go (there's only 2): "Arise monsters!", and "So...red..So gloriously red!" and I find that really weird and concerning.

One of my own theories that HAS to have been covered, [I've just not every heard it mentioned myself] is the theory of why Link failed and the PURPOSE of BOTW. We know from a journal entry that Link chooses not to speak due to a strong sense of duty. His father was a great man and he was told of his purpose since a young age. So in order to meet expectations, he chose to go silent. He would bear any burden and no longer express himself, since that was his duty. This is one of the only versions of Link who didn't grow up with some humble beginning. He didn't suddenly learn of his purpose or choose of his own free will to face evil. It was forced upon him. And I think thats truly why he failed. Link's personality in the dialogue is goofy and full of puns and humor. And at times Link can even be a bit of a jerk. His posture when speaking to people with his hands on his hips can be seen as cocky. He laughs when he does a trick on a shield, he gets giddy when he cooks a good meal, and he flexes if he stands around without a shirt on. Hes INCREDIBLY expressive... But he isn't in any of the flashbacks........ I think this is because he lost his memories. Link lost all those expectations, all that training, all the times he was told of his reason for being... He forgot why he'd gone silent. I think the King teaches Link various things in a humble form, because he realized what he'd done.... what had happened to Link.... He wanted Link to take it slow, to ease into it. To experience life as it was before forcing him back into a task... Because he understood why they had failed. It wasn't because Ganon controlled the guardians, or his own trickery... Gameplay shows us that we can defeat ganon in our undies with a pot lid. That wasn't the threat. The problem was they didn't have the one thing they needed.... Because it only appears when you have a choice... its only there when you fight for whats right, in spite of everything. When your own fear and weakness are still there to overcome.... They'd made sure it wasn't there.... Because they didn't train a Warrior.... They made a Weapon.... Weapons can't have Courage.

I always through that the plateau could have been raised due to Link being within the resurrection facility. An extra step to try and secure his safe recovery. With the mention of this fifth divine beast being under the facility, could it be that the two are linked? That the shrine’s activation relayed to the beast to lift the plateau??

I always just figured that the Gerudo let the Gorons in because they didn't know if they were male or female. The other races have pretty distinctive features to be able to tell their gender but not the Gorons so I always assumed it was supposed to be a funny joke that showed the Gerudo couldn't tell the difference either. Also I've always liked the idea that that was Link's home beforehand too. Especially since he offers to buy it immediately like he's drawn to it for some unknown reason. With what we're told about the previous owner never returning, I like to think it's Link and he finally came back to reclaim it.
@TheSilverScout135 жыл бұрын
You know, if you take a closer look at the 5th divine beast, it looks like an engine if you think about it.

4:00 It made me think of Skyloft if it ever came down from the sky but there's too much evidence to discredit that theory even thought the plateau and dome shape and some lakes are the same etc. Your last theory is very interesting that the plateau existed to hide the final divine beast.

I have a headcanon regarding Link's house that I put in my LoZ stories. It would explain why it was going to be torn down, because it gives a reason for everyone forgetting that Link lived there. The headcanon is that he moved to Castle Town at some point. Pretty simple. There's not much to back it up, it's just an idea I had.
