If you watch the little bit remaining on the video, you'll actually hear Geralt speak. The devs (and the voice actor, Doug) confirmed he will be in the game, just not as the primary protagonist. Also, the devs stated this cinematic is an actual quest in the game in the "northern region" they haven't named, and that there is an outcome where the girl lives. Pretty cool that we'll be able to see how this cinematic translates into actual gameplay.

The monster is a Bauk(Ba-yuk) which is a monster from Ukrainian folklore.

They are in full production, been working post production on it since 2022 and when CP PL launced in 23 they moved almost everybody over to the W4 400+ pppl working on it atm ..and it being made in UR5 will make it " easier" than in their own Red engine
