I've played Subnautica for over 2 and a half years, and I've learned many useful things. However, I've also learned some things that might be considered...less than useful. Lets take a look at those shall we :)

they are the stalker, the lava lizard (when it doesn't have lava on it), and the reaper (although they had glowing eyes in early versions) also fun fact, most bioluminescent things don't illuminate their surroundings much if at all but a significant exception is the rockgrub (do creepvine seeds do it too? I'm not quite sure)

also i think yall are forgetting its *hands* lmao. there's no animation because they never meet naturally in game but my theory is they swim up until they find one, grab it, then swim back down. they have notably powerful hands that are surprisingly dexterous-looking for a deep-sea creature, there's gotta be some grabbing involved in their behavior lore-wise im sure. yes they use them for swatting too but then why webbed hands and not just powerful fins?

Adding onto what you said about the random biomes in the void, the explanation to this is simple. The map of biomes simply repeats over and over again. (Although I think that the extra biome maps in the void may be flipped in some way, because the dunes wouldn't be logically in the bottom right of the map.) Another cool fact is that eventually the biome map completely breaks the further out you go. Eventually it just doesnt think you are in any biome, and the ghost leviathans stop spawning. This "true" void will continue endlessly until you get teleported back to the shallows.

Another cool fun fact: nearby the purple particles under the aurora, is a large hole inside the underside of the aurora. In older versions, this hole was not only accessible, but the hole would take you to the hole in the bottom of the generator room floor. So basically a new entrance that would bypass all the code locked doors on the other doors. (Although it sadly doesn't exist anymore 😢)

Why the information in this video is in fact not useless: 1. This Can help you align things on walls to the centre 2. You can use the heights of base pieces and compare with the height of the aurora tip to get a base all the way to the top 3. If you see this animation, you know it's far away 4. Use this to allow staying inside alien containment indefinitely. 22. Reed Richards cosplay. 23. Build a base I guess. 24. Deterrent for phasing through glass. 25. That's simply cool. 26. That's obvious why it's useful. 27. Watch this to know what NOT to do upon starting a world. 28. This draws the eye towards the cube. 29. Allows for a very lucky speedrun. So if eventually, subnautica speedruns are perfected, speedrunners will have to get that 1 in 2 million to create a new record. 30. Good for confusing people trying to spawn in uraninite who do not realise that it's not uranium. 31. Deepest solar panel spot for if you want really inefficient power. 32. Yeah I have no use for this information. 33. Good for saving money on voice actors. 34. Good to know if you ever plan on attempting to bring a seamoth to the lava zone or if a seadragon glitches inside the PCF 35. Reference point for clipping out of bounds. 36. Allows people to pretend they're playing a retro game. 37. How to hide your HUD. 38. IRL Marketing. 39. Identifies a song that may be stuck in a person's head that is slowly driving them insane like a person who's trying to find niche uses for useless information, regretting their choice to do this but too far in to stop. 40. Decoration. 41. If you really like the car, now you know what to get irl. 42. Good for driving people insane. 43. Yeah I can't find a use for that. 44. Yes that is what is know as "perspective". 45. Some uninteresting facts i found: You can craft batteries without mushrooms or copper by making a repair tool and unloading it as it comes charged You can convert glass to titanium by building markiplier (costs 1 glass and 1 titanium) then scanning it as it is not only a structure but also a fragment (gives 2 titanium) While you can reinforce base pieces in the same spots you could put windows or hatches, the pipe-like base pieces don't allow reinforcing the roof spot (Gotta check spelling, found this next to the dunes) The grassy plains biome is shown ingame in two ways: GrassyPlains and grassyPlains in the F1 menu, must be some sort of transition biome Default Prawn arms don't move while walking, but their shadows do, like there's a 3d animation only visible outside for some reason

If your base has both a moonpool and a scanner room, you can actually pilot a camera out of the water in the moonpool, then fly it around your base like an air drone IRL. They don't have collision detection with the player like this, so you can essentially fly your camera through the player. It's a funny, easily reproducible glitch.

[2:20] In the past I've done a lot of exploring outside of the map and for some reason in the x direction the map's biomes repeat in the void while in the z direction they do not. [3:50] This is because when you travel more than 8192 (2^13) m in any direction you are teleported back to the world origin. To add my own useless information, beneath the map there are several large ledges, one of these ledges can actually be seen without leaving the map by building a scanner room near the disease research facility. That ledge in particular is just barely accessible from outside the map, and in my opinion makes that ledge the worst possible base location in subnautica.
