9:39 ...The statue is "Diana the Huntress" popular statue in the late 1700's all through the late 1800's. Greek mythology played a huge part in the commission of statues for fine estates.

Actually your wrong Gloria...for the obvious reason that the statue is male.in addition no female statue would be made with one leg pulled up against the body like that.thereby putting emphasis on that region.while vaguely classical,reference the hair it is not diana

Hey Sally. Thanks for your comment. We did ask to be honest. We where talking to the chap for nearly a hour he was a nice guy to be fair. But he called the owner and he said no. Massive shame but we tried.

That last large statue looked to be Diana, Goddess of the Hunt. The statue of the lad and his dog you could have been the model even your facial features were so alike. Very beautiful, thanks for the effort, enjoyed seeing the open grounds and grasses and massive old trees.

This place has relatively new fencing the post and gates you walkes through was only about a year old and all the grass and hedges have bee trimmed.

Yeah there is a permanent grounds keeper here. He’s an older guy but he just plods along doing the laws etc and keeping them in ok shape. As they are grade 1 I bet they have to yousee. Fence definitely looked a new addition

Hey mate. Yeah I has been abandoned but due to the amount of interest the owner has been forced to act. I suppose it’s only a good thing as heating will be on and keeping the water moving etc will help the property a lot

Nice swing, but it is more c. 1990 at least, not Victorian. The victorians would never have put their name to something as new and crude as that. When they made something it was by real craftsmen, not a half sawn plank with new drill holes in it. I love your videos though. You explore some amazing places. Thank you for sharing with us 🙂

Some lovely wildflowers there. Would have really have enjoyed seeing what they are. Another time would really appreciate if you could focus on them & pause for two or three seconds, or at least move a bit slower for a few seconds, that would be brilliant. Obviously the amazing house is the main thing, not complaining, but just saying I would like a couple of seconds to see them clearly & would enjoy that. Loved it that you pointed out the Deer.

These massive creepy looking buildings remind me of several palatial stately state hospitals that have been closed down in the USA due to cheap politicians who didn't want to waste so much money on the mentally ill. Now many can be found living in homeless shelters or under bridges.
