I’m already going to chime in. I charge! I pay for a booking site that sends you multiple notifications about your appointment. There is no reason for you to no call no show aside from you not respecting me as a professional. I didn’t when I first started because I worked in a traditional barber shop so I could cut a walk in but now that I’m in my own space and don’t have as much foot traffic you’re literally wasting my time/$ that I can’t make up for.

I love that ! I def understand why people do it , and it makes sense. It is interesting to see other perspectives and sometimes when people have not dealt with or experienced something they don’t fully understand what it feels like or the toll it takes on our business.

Nooooo lieeeeessssss told. There are sooo many L’s I had to take last year for being late to appointments. I’m a fair stylist; so I don’t charge deposits or late fees (bc I travel to client). And same here as I go I’m learning. KZbin is my next task. I love your podcast and create a commercial, just like your intro, into selling your products. I could use your braiding hair and edge control! I’m trying to shop black own.

Yes I feel personal and business pages should be separate! When I’m searching for a provider, I’m looking for your work; not personal life. A few posts here and there is ok but how can I book if I don’t see the quality of your work?

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy and I expect them to respect me and my time as I do them by making sure no one is in my chair when it’s their appointment time. I only had one that canceled literally 20 minutes before her appointment and yea she had to pay for that service because I couldn’t schedule someone else. She was upset but it’s business because if she did that to a doctor’s appointment, she would definitely pay.

Yep customer service goes a long way, especially if there’s a 5min late fee. I feel that when the fault is on you, you need to go above and beyond and also. I agree with late fees, especially if there’s a new client involved, the stylist looses, just like the doctors offices charge a late fee after 15mins or cancel the appointment.

People who don’t talk to you when doing your hair, you have to watch out for. They’ll put bad energy into your hair and that’s an important spot ( the crown )

Charge for my time! Could be doing someone else that would show.

I think that hairdresser who did your hair for your vacation was probably jealous because her attitude was very telling. The fact her demeanor was one way and changed up and then back cold. She should been happy to have you as a possible client.😮 One of my cousins is a stylist and works part time at the post office for her benefits.😮

Thats good timing ! I would say about the average time it takes! As long as the quality is there most people don’t mind sitting 👍🏽
