Hi sir...I have a doubt [Ni(CO)4] is a determined experimentally to be diamagnetic in nature. VBT : Forcefully pairs the 4s^2 electrons CFT : As CO is a strong field ligand...pairing is done.But 2 electrons are left unpaired due to Aufbau Principle in the dz^2 & dx^2-y^2? Thanks for the reply !
