SOUTHDOWN! 🤦‍♂️ As soon as you showed all about it... My bells n lights went off 😂 I was looking (and trashing area) through my notes that never made it to organized to find the floofy cousin to Merino... Thanks! I had an idea of getting fine fibers that live for fine lace spins and couldn't recall all my notes by memory 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ it's written down now with Shetland, blf, cromo, merino, and silk 😂 Love ya Sadie ☕

I was really surprised by the shrinkage!😮 Its so interesting to see how the different methods of preparation can alter the structure, and therefore the spin of each breed. Love it!! Thanks for your hard work on this series. 🙏🏼🥰

I know right I was not expecting that at all so this is why I need to try them all again in a different prep so as to get a true understanding of what can do what and how it all looks xx

Thank you, and I agree that it is informative to use rolags and top as well as fleece. Blessings.

The commercial prep is very different than working with the fleece. The fleece is way more springy.

@@sadiesspincraft6319 it's amazing how much the commercial processes change the wool. Most of the life comes back when you wash it but there's still nothing like hand processed wool.

@bffiberarts that I defo agree with I love raw fleece more than mill processed top and that is saying something for me lmao cx

It loves to spin from rolags. Add a little extra twist and make sure to wash it to set the twist before using. Steaming it does not work as well and your project will change size. It also resists felting. It's an amazing wool.

Hiya. How long do you leave the fibre in the jar for when dyeing? Is it until the water is clear? Xx

@SacredSoulArt it's great. I've done a few videos in the jars, all different sizes so that you can either do a tester or a full 200g with a variation of colours running through x
