The isopod terrarium looks amazing!! Like you carved out a piece of a bottom forest or wood, and put it in a glass/plastic box to showcase in your home. You inspire a lot of people with your DIY projects. The end result of your DIY projects always come out to be cool little fish tanks, terrariums etc that is made out of products from hardware or home improvement stores or even supermarkets like Walmart. You show that you can use pretty much anything like a plastic bin or something to build a terrarium, small fish tank, breeder tank etc for a small amount of money. And that you don’t need to spend a ton of money on some brand name aquarium or terrarium products

Except the fact he used sopping wet substrate and plants from his dirty driveway... and he's trying to teach us stuff with no idea what he's doing. Had to say it as an experienced isopod breeder.

I love it! I have always been amazed with terrariums and now I'm going to build my own for isopods I will be getting! Who know having rollie pollies as pets was a thing?!? I played with them outside when growing up. I love them!

Looks really nice! I love it 😊 I’ve been gathering items to make an open terrarium. Should have everything I need soon! If that does well, I will then try a closed terrarium with springtails and isopods 😊

Looks great but having it go up to the top edge might be a problem. It is fine when the lid is on but when off the little guys can escape. Then they'll take over your home and kick you out or worse put you in a glass box. I see this happen all the time.

I havent been on youtube much lately but when i saw the title and that it was your video, i clicked on it right away! I like your content and love isopods! You mentioned Tanner from Serpa squad, i dont know if youve checked out Ants Canada but he has great terrarium, vivarium, and riparium designs too, maybe you can do a three-way collaboration or challenge, thatd be cool to see. Look forward to more content 😁

Looks good i need to do some display enclosures for my Merulanella since they are day active. The only thing i would do differently is use soaked hardwood pellets instead of coconut coir and add some oolitic sand in for a calcium source.

I am going to start a colony of isopids and springtails in the next few weeks. I have my enclosure and and most materials need. It will not be a live terrarium here at first. I've always wanted to make and sell little figurine terrariums, but my husband has asked me a few times how would I ship one with no worries of it getting complete demolished in transport! That sounded like the perfect question here...how does shipping a terrarium successfully work?

And using plants from your driveway will have tons of pollutants on it from car exhaust, oils, and fertilizer runoff and isopods are extremely sensitive to that.

That is a pretty nice looking terrarium. What are the dimensions on it because I initially thought it was much larger based on the snapshot(excellent camera work) and I love that dragon stone in the Halloween build. Very nicely done, sir, and you have a new subscriber.

I have to say the cloth barrier makes it look quite ugly and negates all the effort and care you put into making this otherwise nice little thing. I would think just cutting the barrier exactly to size or just ever so slightly oversized would make this a lot better.

That’s how you would do it. U can’t criticize this guy bcuz he chooses to do it his way lol cmon now man. Of course ur entitled to your own opinion but u don’t attack what someone else is doing bcuz they aren’t doing it the way u think they should do it. As a man U owe this man an apology boss. Everything is about differences n that’s what makes life beautiful. Take care n be blessed.
@philxdev3 жыл бұрын
@@justdoinit2378 what the heck are you talking about?? I do not owe anybody any apology, ESPECIALLY not for an honest opinion and leaving nothing but constructive criticism.. you read to much hostility into my previous comment and that is on you and not me. you are right about one thing though!! variety and diversity does make life more interesting and beautiful, does not change the fact that one can grow and evolve and talking about differences and exchanging knowledge and opinions is actually a good thing.. even when they are sometimes negative. take it easy and not read to much negativity into every youtube comment^^ I know some people are hostile here on the internet, but not every negative comment is actually a bad comment;) .. Cheers Kixx, take care too.

@@philxdev lol calling someone else work ugly bcuz they did it the way they wanted to do it is constructive criticism? Yea not cool.
@philxdev3 жыл бұрын
@@justdoinit2378 yeah you have a problem reading? _-negates all the effort and care you put into making this otherwise nice little thing._ and that is IMO the truth.. as it does completely ruin the overall aesthetics... why would you put so much effort into something that should also please the eye hence using a clear material and then you have this black irregular cloth barrier ruining it all.. and it is just a minor thing with an aestheticly big effect.. how is that in anyway shape or form not a constructive remark. you can´t read or you can´t comprehend so we just leave it at that.. I said it is nice but this small thing is ruining it for me and you try to shame me for your own stupidity.
