when I came to live in my neighborhood with my parents in 1988 the place was relatively new so, no isopods anywhere so I went back to my old stomping grounds where I developed the love for searching for bugs from pretty much the day I could walk and I found many isopods and introduced them to my new garden now today they are all over the neighborhood. now in forested areas, in my country, there lives an isopod that can grow up to whopping 2 inches! as soon as spring hits I'm getting them I know where to find them and the isopod world of my creation needs more diversity after 33 years I know of 3 other species and I'm getting them too introducing them first to my compost heap as I did with the first batch. I introduced quite a lot of animal life in the period 1988-92 snails and slugs toads ladybugs millipedes worms rarer local ants and many more. the plot of houses was pretty bare in 1988 it was built on an artificially elevated sand bar it takes some time for that to bear fruit talking about flora I introduced a ton load of plants that all migrated from my postage stamp of a garden to the whole neighborhood like you I'm a creator of worlds unlike you I live in it!

This is certainly a new, unique format. It feels like it's tailored to more of a younger audience though than an adult, which could work, but was a deterrent for me. I like to come here for the science-y stuff and learning about ants rather than simpler wording and more personification of the ants. It's like watching National Geographic vs National Geographic Kids. You could possibly split up the format for videos tailored towards children, but that's just my thoughts on it. The bug eating noises were also a slight bother to me. Maybe quite them down or remove them?

Isopods are EXCELLENT cleanup crews however, as soon as they start reproducing, you’ll very quickly go from a few, to hundreds! And as soon as that happens, they’ll actually start competing pretty heavily with the ants. (Unless you have a species which is specifically known for being aggressive.) I’ve literally seen tugging matches between carpenter ants and zebra isopods, (Armadillidium, maculatum) and unfortunately, the ants don’t always win, especially once the isopods start to outnumber them. So if you do introduce isopods, you’ll be fine for the first few months but after that, be prepared to start removing them by the dozen.
