Thank you for thos wonderful ideas. In the past I studied the equine genetics in the simplest ways often, for a other horse game, where its explained very well, what is why I could use your system really nicely ❤

I have so much fun creating horses in TS4 tbh even tho their in game genetic system isn't great so meany creators made amazing stencils, stamps, and brushes for CC to download and decorate your foals with that way. xP I'm excited to do more of these. I wanna talk about the mushroom genes cuz really your ponies are the only ones I really know with fun genes like that and silver? Do they have silver? ^-^ We need to talk about your pons. It's so fun! LOVE YOU!

I love talking colour genetics lol though I only really know of those associated with the Shetland pony breed lol Sadly silver does not exist in pure bred Shetlands but it is the only breed so far to have the mushroom gene! and its the closest looking to silver we have lol. Mushroom is a dilution that only effects red base so will dilute a chestnut and a bay but no visible difference on black. It is also recessive so a pony needs 2 copies (one from each parent) for it to show!

This is so fascinating. Makes me wonder what my gelding’s genetic testers would be. He is Mustang/Appy from Nevada. Phonetically he is light buckskin, no dorsal, black and brown spots over his rump but no white on him at all.

Thank you so much!!! That means a lot! I have a great Horse CC video but I need to make an updated one since there were a ton new CC that has been released sinse. I love Walnut Hill's Stencils for designing horses especially. They also have some stamps and brushes for face markings and different paint patterns. Tumblr is a great resource too! ^_^

What genetics would a dapple gray have?
@kenz53204 ай бұрын
a dapple grey would just be a black horse in the process of greying iirc, so BB aa GG, Bb aa Gg, BB aa Gg, or Bb aa GG. dapples are a bit of a weird one because they can come from patterning of greying hairs, sometimes they can appear on silver blacks, and they can also just...appear randomly on any coat based on the health of your horse or the season. i recommend researching it, it's really interesting!
