Breezy Sunset Walk by Village at Foot of Mt Daisen | Tottori, Japan 4K Countryside Ambience

Daisen is a volcanic mountain that looks like a mini Mt. Fuji from some angles, located in Tottori Prefecture on the Sea of Japan coast. There are many rice fields around the foot of the mountain attached to small villages. I love flooded rice fields and their reflections of the sky, so I thought it would be nice to take a walk through these beautiful fields on the edge of the village as the sun sets. I wasn't quiet sure what to expect in the town, I was pleasantly surprised to find water flowing through canals used to irrigate the fields down below, some beautiful traditional houses, a few shy cats, and some friendly people. I hope you enjoy this relaxing sunset walk in this beautiful area.

Mount Daisen is watching over the village and the rice paddies. You can almost see it everywhere you walk, or is the mountain seeing you? The young rice plants flutter in the breeze. A man walks his small dog. Two cats on the walls stare at you from afar. A black cat lays in the middle of the road then escapes. A few people are out walking. It's a peaceful and pleasant walk accompanied by the sound of gushing water in some areas.

What a lovely sunset with some (but never enough) background frog sounds. I've climbed Mt Daisen in the past but only ever approached it from the coast. Never realised it was so impressive it from the (I'm guessing) Saihaku side.

This area is in Kofu, on the southwest side of the mountain. That side is definitely worth a visit if you are back in the area, lots of nice rice fields, views, and lots of frogs too.
