Absolutely. My first luxury watch was a Breitling. I didn’t have it long as I became the constant flipper. But what a stunning piece. The polish was perfectly executed. Almost GS level. My wife always said it was her favorite watch I’ve owned. She loved the bling. Maybe some day I’ll pick one up again. Great video as always.

My very first luxury watch purchase was my dream B01 Navitimer "Legacy" Edition (came out in 2020 and includes the wings, hence legacy version) and it's just a phenomenal brand with first class fit and finish. The details Breitling put on their watches while maintaining classic look is what makes them the best for me. You will not get bored looking at them on your wrist and the varaity is spectacular. I own the Superocean A13340 chrono and I absolutely love it.

Great video. In a world where it seems 90% of people only like 2 or 3 watch brands I can't help but love it when people actually buy what they like rather than always worrying about it increasing in value, if a watch does gain value that's awesome if it doesn't you've still had an item you have really enjoyed and hopefully gained some memories with.

That’s a beauty and a helluva addition to your collection. Popular current preference for quite some time definitely seems to lean towards simpler cleaner dials which I do like. But there is something to be said about the technical beauty of Breitling with their many details and busy dials that speaks to their craftsmanship and design attention.

I have a Breitling Titanium Avenger that has always held my affections. I've found that because of it's bulk, the right strap is especially important on a Breitling. Nice review.

Great video. So important to be reminded that there are other fantastic watches out there, in a time where everyone seems to be chasing Daytonas and Nautili. Breitling has a beautiful history, basically inventing the modern chronograph. I personally like what Georges Kern is doing, even though some prefer the old looks. The watches look bold and elegant. Love the Premier collection especially.

At last you bring out the beast! I have the 41mm version of that watch with the "Black Eyed Blue" dial. I am lucky enough to have a number of Rolex in my collection but this one certainly stands out, and funnily enough, I also refer to mine as "The Beast" whenever I ware it. Great video Sir and I agree with everything you say about it. But wait for it - shock horror- I think it's better than the Daytona!

Mate, I think your Windrider video quite simply is your best work. It gave me the courage to finally drop 4 figures on a watch and here I am with a new Breitling Avenger 43mm GMT on my wrist making my balls swell a little bit! THIS is a gorgeous piece. I think the reason Breitling fell out of favour is because the style through the noughties simply became too busy, chunky and dare I say masculine to lead the market when other values were on the rise. Elegance, minimalism and the ascent of the metro/beta male meant that Breitling with its aesthetic was never gonna lead the market, although it would still be a player. I think what we’re seeing now from Breitling under Kern is a real paring back… a streamlining in many senses. But he’s doing well in not straying too far from what the loyal fans always loved, whilst opening up to folks that historically wouldn’t have come near the brand. Anyway, I love that other channels unboxings are five mins and yours are half hour explorations of cinema, wine, sculpture, steel commentary and comparisons with other models. Sante and Salut big man. Thanks for being here. 🍷 🍻

I have a 2007 chronomat evolution that my wife once when angry threw down hard on a (thankfully carpeted) floor (we have a great great relationship btw but it can get fiery at times!). not a scratch on it and continues to work perfectly. absolute tank of a watch

Great review! I have one of the rarest versions of this watch with a mother of pearl face and diamonds at 1,2,4,5,7,810,11. This is my top watch model I own at this point. It always gets a compliment!. It’s a little showy but that’s what I chose out of a selection of IWC, Submariner, Panerai, and others that were offered by Hyundai as an award for sales performance of my dealership. Nice prize!

Sirio head run- now to my comment…. WoW what’s detailed fit and finish watch and some large proportions to accentuate that. I too do not care for the ‘slab sided’ watches. Even in my entry level of affordability available to me, the curved sides wear so much more efficiently as in many of Seiko’s popular models. Just something to be said for in wearability. Thank you very much for you inspiring review here! Fact is Breitling is a dead milestone! Georges Kern is the Undertaker of this brand. 80% of the Watches from the 2018 catalog have now disapared. This particular watch is the last of the real craftmanship of this once famous brand. You watch closely and see similaraties of Maurice Lacroix,and not speaking of the new "Pastel Collection"inspired by the Pantone catalog. Another great video Oisin. I own the exact piece and agree with your take. Excellent build quality, attention to detail and robust. Though it is big and heavy, it finds a way to be comfortable on the wrist especially with the leather strap. Size wise, it feels almost identical to my 42mm Explorer II on the wrist. Definitely not for everyone but this watch has character and it’s not shy about it. Thank you for the Sunday evening entertainment!

I've owned a SuperOcean and loved the original link bracelet. Not everyone's cup of tea but if you like it, likely, you love it. Also, had a Ti SeaWolf and that was a monster too. They do lose value for sure. Wouldn't think of buying one new when such great examples can be had used for a heavy discount.

I love Breitling. I have a Seawolf white dial which to me is absolutely stunning. A big chunky diver that never disappoints when I'm in the mood for that kind of look and feel. I also had a Superocean Heritage 46 blue dial on mesh, that was also a stunner but I had let it go as it sat right at the limit on my 18.5cm/7.2in wrist. The Chronomat is an icon, congratulations on such a great piece.

Fantastic. Loved the wine and art discussion. Always been a fan of Breitling, you showed great comparisons with other brands and styles. Honestly I liked the Breitling style with the bulk and all the metal more than the others IMO. As usual you combined wonderful story telling with a cool watch. My longest held watch is a very limited edition two tone Navitimer 1461 with a stunning blue dial. I will keep it forever! As I enjoyed your video I pulled up the specs of my James Cameron for comparison and while they are not identical they have similar details. That is definitely a big watch to be sure. I’m not bothered by the size on my 6.5 inch wrist and my suggestion is to wear whatever you like and don’t be concerned what others may think. Thank you once again.

Dammit O’Malley.. you are ruining my life. Tried some Red Breast 12,: great. Part of the rotation now. Tried some Barolo:great and part of the rotation now. Bought a Bay-tona reverse panda. Bought a Breitling ( different model and before you reviewed this one so not really your fault). You are driving me to drink and to the poor house (or at least helping me justify it a bit). Beautiful watch. Breitling has been the grail brand for me. I loved the Siena video and it sold me on the Windrider Cockpit. I finally have one myself now and I love it. This one is a beast and would be pushing my limits at 44mm on a 7” wrist. I’d have to go with a B01 in 42mm. It’s next on the list.

I love that watch. I have a TT 44 black dial gold subdials. Not too much, just the right amount of Breitling. Bought the new 42 mm steel panda a couple of months ago, but sold it recently. The 44 is the superior one imo.
