I bought two based on the TV show demo... I had a little bit of a hassle getting it to fit. IT seems if you open it like a rain umbrella with the shade 'OVER' your head... and slip in the shade 'bottom first' at the base of the windshield ..it will go in easier... if you unstrap the 'rearview mirror' opening. ...

I bought one from Amazon and I had the hardest time figuring out how to use it every time I went to use it. I just I just couldn't get it. But your review helped me a lot so I realize that I needed to open it first, fit it in to my Highlanders dashboard and then strap it cuz there's a little strap on mine and then I was able to to use it correctly without too much hassle. Thank you!

3:25 seems a bit too finagley for me when it displaces the mirror position. you said you were continuing use, so how is it after long term use update?

the link to the amazon for me, doesn't have the gap for the rear-view mirror. hard to get one with this feature. Umbrella type will def wear out quicker, just like an umbrella does, i think, but you pay for convenience. even if you have to replace it every year or two it may be worth it.

I have a 2014 Toyota Camry. 1 purchased the umbrella shield and the first problem I had was the handle pressed up against my touch screen radio. I was worried it may damage my screen but after only 3 days of using it the entire handle broke off where the handle meets the umbrella. I maybe able to repair it but I decided to return it instead

** The Brella comes with a black case...that you have to pay attention to when unpacking...it stays in the box...and appears to be 'reinforced' packing...but, is the 'leather' case.

It didn’t fit my car Toyota CHR was to big and don’t have a cut out for rear view mirror eventually it will end up scratching the dashboard ☹️

** Sorry, I have a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder...and I found it difficult to make it fit... not really that easy to use...but might be easier to store...and it will work out ok to use as a 'sunshade' for people in the park....

Thanks for a great video. It convinced me to not purchase one of these. I have one that is two springform pieces, the kind you fold like a taco and then twist your wrists, and it turns into a flat circle. It fits neatly between the passenger seat and the console. This seems much more cumbersome and could scratch things.

Wife stuck the cheap old one inside my car. It was falling apart and made a mess on my dash. For cheap I bought 2 umbrella style from Amazon. I'm very disappointed coz it has no place for the mirror and doesnt fully cover my envoy windshield but does cover most. Just a real pain in the a** to set it up and doesnt seem to block the dash sunlight which is a major issue for me. After being at the mechanic for a while the dash in my lacrosse super now has a crack in it. I dont need more. Btw I got mine for $7 each on Amazon. Not sure yet if I will return for a refund.

This umbrella (especial with friction of the handle) destroys the skin of the car dashboard! You're glad the sun isn't destroying the leather on your car's dashboard, but you're destroying it yourself because you're too slothful to install a classic sunshade!(which does not contain metal wires and pieces of hard plastic!)!

In my opinion I think is useless! In time it will probably scratch or damage your car's dashboard, and like you said, it will wear out and not work as properly. But then again I never owned one, so that's just my opinion! Plus I do own a jeep wrangler jk, and I knotice that most regular shades won't work on my jeep, so I ended up ordering one from the jeep dealership near me, and it works wonderfully!
