Hey!!! They make these things called “Jack Stands”! The last thing I would trust is a jack from Harbor Freight! Also, tow mirrors would make it look utilitarian and take away from the rest of the vehicle. It’s kind of like guys who leave their tow mirrors out with no trailer. 😁

What’s up Ryan! The braking system on the trailer you rented are called surge brakes. They’ve been around for a long time, but most commonly found on boat trailers.

Surge brakes are what they use, as the trailer moves forward under braking, it engages the brakes. It's pretty cool cause it's inside the tongue, best option for the casual renter or someone who doesn't tow a lot. Can usually be pretty jerky though.

Get the stock tow mirrors that are on the 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500hd. They look like regular mirrors but they pull out to be tow mirrors

I’m a welder and have my own shop plus I’m right by Cincinnati so if you want a custom gooseneck just get one and I can refab the neck to the right height of your ram.

All I did was us tape and paper towels to keep my overspray from hitting my caliper and lines. Took 15 minutes to paint all 4. Didn't take them off the rotor

Here's a trick for warming up paint cans fill sink bowl with warm water then let the can sit in it until it gets to temp (obviously dont cover the spray nozzle with water just halfway up the can)

I’d honestly buy a second “work” truck to pull your gooseneck before getting a custom trailer to fit your ram. Once you get one trailer you’ll eventually want more and want to sell/ upgrade them. Way easier to sell a normal neck gooseneck than a giant custom one. Just my two cents.

Ryan...The trailer brakes set up is called "surge" brakes...commonly found on Marine trailers. I have them on my boat trailer and they work great. Anyways I thought I would share...can't wait for your announcement. Take care and God bless...David.
