My fav tip was "talk to yourself like you'd talk to someone you love". When any of my loved ones are hard on themselves, I offer my full listening, love and understanding. However I don't extend that same love towards myself. Wow - it would feel amazing to!

Yesss - I do this ALL the time. It's been so key to find compassion for myself. ❤️❤️

I LOVE the idea of "enoughness"-and how this helps us bring perspective to that scarcity mindset and feeling of lack.

Wow, letting go of perfectionism.... that hit me between the eyes, I am a partaker of that in a big way, I say I don't care what people think, BUT I really do... so I live for others instead of loving myself. Thank you Brene

Thank you for this. I was looking for "Self Love." I am a Singer/Songwriter, but compare myself to others SO frequently. I have a friend who doesn't post on FB very often, but when she does, WHOA, she gets SO many "likes" and "loves" I, on the other hand, get an extremely modest amount of comments. I am working on having gratitude, and not hanging my self esteem on FB likes...it is very difficult, because I have developed a very warped view of the world due to social media. I just want to be happy with myself, even if there isn't ONE other person on this planet who likes me back! MUCH GRATITUDE!!!

I feel that number 7 is pretty important. To speak to yourself as you would to like, say your little sister is a good reminder because our inner dialogue can be so damaging and harsh often. Thanks for the video.

When she says a midlife crisis isn't a crisis, it's an unraveling of all of the things. I tell people that all the time. That I think a midlife crisis is just people fucking tired of dealing with all the bullshit and denying themselves their life for others wants or needs. Which is funny. I love it because I like to be right, but that would be one thing to let go of to truly have joy. It's a work in progress. haha!

Grateful for everything. For the most simple things which you can realized. For the sun, blue sky, for that you can breathe, that you are alive you think what you are grateful for today. And start jotting that down.
