I love the fact that everyone kinda had the thought "What the Hell happened to Brendan Fraser? We need to bring that guy back" and he came back at the absolute top of his game and killed it. Absolute legend, hope to see him crush even more roles in the future.

I had it a bit differently where I started watching doom patrol in like 2018-19 whenever it came out and I was like, oh yeah what’s he been doing and formed my own little Brenaissance watching and rewatching his stuff. Then fast forward 2 years or so and everyone was like, Bring Back Brendan Fraser! And I was like, what? He’s in a show I love? What do you mean bring him back?? But I get it, I know the public information now and I’m very happy to see him enjoying the mainstream success his talent allows him because he’s just such a lovely guy and he’s very deserving of it.

These people are paid, professional liars. That is what they do. Act. How do you know it's not putting on a show when this is indeed a show? The Graham Norton Show. People today have lost the ability to discern what it means to actually know someone. Have you had dinner with Brendan Fraser's family? Do you know his children? You said he is a "wonderful human" but you have never met him in person. You are speaking of a character, a role he plays, one of many for the public, as if you know him personally. ALL of these people are acting whenever there is a camera on them.

The thing is that Brendan was always good, but Hollywood wasn’t as kind to him but I am so happy he’s getting noticed because he’s such a jack of all trades. He can do dramas, can do comedy, he can’t action anymore but when he did he was the best. Every modern action hero has to thank him because without Brendan’s O’Connell from the mummy the current archetype action hero wouldn’t be the same

Thanks for the reminder. I recall arguing with someone, quite awhile ago, about Brendan’s bonafides as an actor. Referenced exactly those movies. He got cast into the action and physical comedy roles because of his stature and what I suspect is a good natured personality… but he has been so misbranded because of his fun roles. I also like to refer to Blast from the Past and Bedazzled as light films, but that allowed him to express some range (nothing as potent as School Ties) but fun diverse characters

I’ve said it in a few places, but I know he took a break, I know he was forced to for various reasons personally and otherwise, but… this love he’s getting, this love for the performance, the spotlight, his name in the news, his energy and new movies, it’s like he never left and we’re back in the 2000s again. That was his peak but since this is his truest self and he’s doing this on his own terms now, THIS is his true peak I think too. If there’s anything to say of good about the end of 2022 into 2023 it can be at least this one thing of the world pretty much unanimously accepting him back with open arms 😊

@@octavius8562 how about a feel good movie about two friends who go through tough times and reunite later in life.. not a hallmark movie but something relatable to the average person who deals with “life” as we all do..

@@octavius8562 Keanu was quite good in "My Own Private Idaho" and that was a pretty serious roll. What he can't do is anything that requires him to do any kind of accent other than his own and any kind of period piece. I've no idea how he got cast in Dangerous Liasons, Much Ado About Nothing and the disaster that was Dracula.

I've never met the guy. Probably never will but he just gives off genuineness and humility. He just comes off as a decent dude and for that I love him. Glad he's getting his flowers and hope he gets that Oscar.

I know everybody says this exact same thing, but it really is great to see him getting so much attention, recognition and love from his audience. As far as I can tell he's a genuinely nice guy who's been through some very difficult things. I grew up watching his movies and it's really great to see him succeed again. Best of luck to you Mr. Fraser!

Love Brendan Fraser! I've been a fan since I saw him in School Ties in 1992. Brendan proved he had the drama skills in School Ties and With Honors, both in the early 90s. From The Mummy movies to George of the Jungle ... heck and even loved Mrs. Winterborne! And his guest role on Scrubs - holy smokes! Phenomenal! Brendan never left. He's just working humbly, staying out of the spotlight, doing his thing and being his authentic self. ❤
