I like to do two sharpenings. One with a higher radius for broader details, and one with low radius for fine details. You might need to noise reduce first, so that you don't sharpen any noise.

Last year I lost about 16 TB of data due to a power surge issue. All my hard drives went dead. Non-recoverable even. Most of that data was backed up work that was already delivered to the clients but there was this new work for 1 client that was so fresh it wasn't even backed up anywhere else (this literally happened 8 hours after we completed the shoot). I'm a photographer by the way. We used LR preview extraction and stuff to pull out these photos but 16 out of those photos that were essentially extremely important turned out to be 480x320 in LR previews and there is no other way to fix this. Going into this video hoping this can be fixed. All I need is for them to hit 1920 on their longest edge and that will do as they will be printed in a size where this is sufficient. Hope this video helps.

Outstanding mentor, as always! Though Photoshop is the best, I was too lazy to use it, so I went with something quicker & easier. When I am looking for a professional retouch, other image editing platforms can't compete. In my research, I found autoRetouch, and I found it to be so professional, simpler, and easier to use. Though I plan to apply your strategy to my tool.

Your video was excellent but I still have a couple of questions. In the 1st part of the video you said to check off "enable Preserve details". Did you mean to Uncheck that part because later in your presentation you say to check the enable "Preserve Details" ?? If that is what you meant at what point to you ck to enable it again? One last question. Once these setting are changed do they stay that way until you change them again or do you have to go through these same steps with each new photo? I would like to be able to keep the settings as I am working with multiple low-res photos. Thanks for your response. Looking forward to more of you tutorials.
