Elicit not just information, but emotion. What makes this so powerful to me is that I vividly recall a conversation from 14 years ago that was unlike any conversation I had had before or since. This person took time to explore what I wanted out of life, and how I could achieve it, and really think more about what I could achieve. To this day, I've hungered for more conversation of that nature, where someone showed that kind of interest in my desires. While I can't make someone else be that for me again, I do want to take this insight and be that person for others.

I never comment much on KZbin videos, but I want to for these. I try to watch every video that you put out Brendon. You are truly a great mentor even though you don’t know me. Your material, and your books are transforming. I’ve ready your High Performance book twice and listened to it once. I will read it again this year. I am also a Marriage/Life/Health & Wellness Coach and I learn from you daily. Thank you and I hope you and your wife have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you for creating this video 🙂 I think in order to communicate effectively and to convey meaningful talks..the most important thing is to first be a good listener..but people who listen first are usually misunderstood..

Ways to Become a Better Communicator LEARN TO LISTEN. ... PAY ATTENTION TO BODY LANGUAGE. ... OBSERVE HOW OTHERS COMMUNICATE IN DIFFERENT CONTEXTS. ... DON'T BE AFRAID OF A BIT OF SILENCE. ... USE ACTION VERBS AND CONFIDENT LANGUAGE. ... ASK QUESTIONS. ... FIND COMMON GROUND, EVEN IN AN ARGUMENT. ... BE PREPARED AND KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.

This should be titled how to be a better listener, IMO. Here you focused on asking better questions and actually listening. Myself, I was hoping to hear about the other side of communication, improving speaking and specifically how you improved you’re public communication. You’ve mentioned you used to be a terrible speaker when you began, now you often mention you speak extemporaneously. I’d really like to know how you achieved this 180.🙏🏽🤓

That's a great point S. Mills, Brendon probably means that listening is one of the keys of communication, for public speaking tips, I'd focus on removing your filler words and mastering the art of pauses.

That's a great topic idea Kays! I agree; I would say the key is to focus on the little parts that drive momentum in your life, if you stay focused on that, you'll achieve great things in my view, hope that helps.

My communication skills are good in most situations but aren't as good in my relationships with my friends. How do I improve on becoming a better communicator when I'm with my friends?
@MasterTalks4 жыл бұрын
Hey there Bobby, here's my advice. Make a list of passions/interests that you have and find people that have those same interests, much easier to connect with. With your current friends, the same trick should work!
