He’s the one that worked his butt off to save up 17k$ and nobody seemed to care about the 6 months of work it took for this kid to get the money up. Any sponsors that dropped this kid should be boycotted against by all of the little guys who are supporting them! How in the world are any of the “little guys” ever gonna race with these giant teams if situations like this don’t arise? Brennan went about things the right way and maybe it’s not wise to do this but he’s 17yrs old. He ended up getting punished anyways which is complete BS, that’s why you don’t trust these men that tried to intimidate him. At an AMA sanctioned event, all of their discourse should have been via the AMA representative, who's only reply should have been "he payed the money, that bike is his now." I would also like for the claiming rule to be modified in such a way that once the money is paid, the deal is done, no change of heart possible, if you claim it and pay, it's yours, good or bad deal. If Star want their bike back...negotiate to buy it back.

Great lesson for everyone: when making choices in life, think of every single possible scenario, both good and bad. Weigh out all the possibilities and make an educated choice using a 'risk vs reward' & 'probability vs consequence' equation. If someone is willing to suffer the consequences 'if it all goes south'- then by all means, go for it. I can't believe this kids dad wasn't there to ask him "what are you going to do if Yamaha pushes back?" To think there would not be any pushback for " claiming " a $70+k works bike is asinine. Of course there was going to be pushback, duh. All that said, this kid got screwed. Yamaha has absolutely ZERO intentions on letting him ride that bike OR give him two crate motors. If it isn't in writing, then he's screwed. The way Yamaha sees it "the kid tries screwing us out of a works bike-so we don't feel bad about screwing him" Yamaha shouldn't bring that level of tech to AM races if they're not willing to get it claimed.

Here’s what I’ve been able to gather; In Moto #2 outta 3, Evan Ferry’s Foot peg got caught in Haiden Deegan’s spokes and Deegan DNF’d the 2nd moto…Brennan claimed Deegan’s Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha YZ250F after the 3rd moto, to me, that tells me that the 3rd moto was a throw-away moto for Deegan. If _Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha_ was going to test the feasibility of something they weren’t entirely sure about running on their *ACTUAL* pro race bikes…that’d be the time they’d test it. Something I’ve heard multiple times following this, is that Donnie Luce from Yamaha said to Brennan “I know you’re a motorcycle mechanic, but you’re not going to be able to service this engine, neither is he” _[pointing at his motor builder Derek Harris]_ I think that engine had Electronic Valve Control. I bet the camshaft’s have no cam lobes, and the engine timing depends on specialized hardware to connect with a laptop & utilize proprietary computer software….That’s why Brennen or Derek Harris wouldn’t be able to service it…because the hardware & the proprietary software necessary for set up the engine timing…

That is pretty dubious. His sponsor talks him out of the claim to keep his sponsorship then dumps him a week later???? Seriously?? He should get his claim back then!! I'd like to know if Yamaha or Star put pressure on the dealer or if the dealer just decided to stab Brennan in the back after all.
@andrewadams60812 жыл бұрын
I think it was the first interview where he said Yamaha called his dealer and threatened them. Thats where his problems started. Can't really blame him for telling his truth but that's what started it. Either way he got screwed.

Never been a Deegan fan and never will. Totally support you Brennan keep doing you! Funny back in the day John Roader claimed Marty Tripes Honda RC250 and my good friend Jerome raced the bike in the pro class. I asked Jerome about the bike and he said it really wasn’t that good.🤔

1 question no one is asking him. ????? Why did he want to Spit in his Sponsors Face and want A star racing bike , when his Dealer gives him 5 bikes. And he blows up engines and Clutches. ETC. And then he just has to give them back and go get new ones. His Yamaha dealer SHOULD BE FURIOUS. IF HE WANTED Deegan's bike and push off the 5 bikes his dealer gives him for free. Or on a Small lease , and he expects and RESPECT back from them , they have 10's of thousands of dollars in this kid, and he wanted a bike NOW That he's willing to Pay for. I don't understand why pay to take someone's bike when your dealer gives you 5 bikes in Rotation, With a Fkn Engine builder !!!! Hmmmmm seems fucking Fishy. I ain't on board with any of this Nonsense

i’m over this whole thing the one thing i’m not over though is the posts that brennon made at south wick about haiden go to the end of vital’s long video and look at what this kid said about haiden and anyone who says that there was no one to blame for the crash, i blame brennon because he shifts his weight to haidens side then they collide

So if you were given bikes by a Yamaha dealer for 3 years, you would go and claim the top Yamaha bike.... Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.... cowards move
@motomikebuilder2 жыл бұрын
@@nzsnowsoljah1012 It was a brave move and he likely knew the risks if he had his shit together. I would not have done that and stuck it out with my local guys. It's terrible for the kid that he lost his sponsor.........but when you know that over the years only a handful of bikes have ever been claimed at LL, you'd have to realize there is a good reason that it's not common place. Whether it's motocross or a 9-5 job, you don't shit where you eat.
