In this video we analyze the Crush. In our video of the Special Forces slug, we saw an obvious defect and after 2 million views and 2 years, the company still hasn't addressed the issue. (the wad design is almost exactly the same, and so is the failure)
Accuracy with the Crush wasn't as bad however, only because of help from spin stabilization.
Thank you Patrons for your support. Now that we are in the very new Certification Program, we have had many videos demonetized as soon as we upload them. / taofledermaus

Update Aug. 8. This video has been a pain in the butt. I uploaded it on monday and it was insta-demonetized. I asked for a review. It took 24 hours for them to review it was confirmed to be "advertiser unfriendly". Tuesday, I then emailed Creator Support and asked them to re-review it. Wednesday, much to my surprise the yellow demonetized icon turned from yellow to green! Monetized! Thursday, I get an email back from Creator support telling me that they reviewed it and decided to LEAVE it demonetized due to their mood that day or whatever. Video is still monetized and showing green icon, I'm seeing some ads. Apparently YT screwed up and re-monetized it. Thank you YT for your incompetence.

@@23Scadu Well... I was referring to gun ownership when it comes to "liberty". The NRA just really doesn't seem to appreciate having international competition in terms of firearms market, and therefore, why the 1986s import ban took place. I am just beyond tired of AR15s, but seems like it's the only thing I see on shelves that is "affordable" generally speaking. Something that most people aren't aware of is the Taylor Knock Out number which is the most accurate method of assessing and comparing knock down power of large caliber guns. It is Slug Diameter x Weight in gr, x Velocity/ 7000. For example a .458 Win Mag with a 500 gr bullet running at 2150 fps has a TKO of 70.3 by comparison a regular 1oz low recoil Foster Slug running at 1300 fps has a TKO of 59.2 and a High Base Slug 1 1/8 oz at 1600 fps is TKO 81. The Brenneke Black Magic is 1 3/8 oz at 1500 for TKO of 83 and the Magnum Crush 1.5 oz slug at 1600 fps is TKO of 110 ! or 1 1/2 times the knock down power of the well known .458 Win Mag. The Taylor formula does tend to favor larger bores, however for good reason, as the larger bore dumps it's Energy faster due to the larger frontal area of the slug. These are the most powerful shotgun ammo available unless you hand load your own Russian Slugs,,, BAR NONE!... Also if Danny would pinch the action bars on that Mossberg when firing it wouldn't self rack the slide and the gun would stay in battery. a Lead Sled might be a Good Idea as well?

These Magnum Crush shells are amazing and can induce flinch with shooters of all levels of experience. I shoot these in the weeks leading up to hunts and then when hunting, even with recoil reducing stocks on my 870P and M1 Super 90 Tactical these shells kick you back like nobody’s business! Plus they tend to be expensive and difficult to source. I love them but can’t train with them frequently: too painful, too expensive, and likely hard on the shotgun!

There’s no doubt that the slug would have shot all the way through the steel plate if the plate wasn’t placed at an angle. I totally understand that angling the plate is a must for safety reasons. Thanks for videos I always enjoy this channel.

Jeff... perhaps youtubers should look a platform versus an editor in legal terms. An interesting precedent during the 1990s when file sharing software became common use was set. A platform is not liable, an editor is. So an editor that removes your content shows political leaning. Due to the statements made to congress about not having a political leaning, it can be used to stop throttling and demonetization. Lawsuits concerning libel and slander committed by youtubers can and should be brought against KZbin itself. If they claim they are not liable, then they cannot legally censor and remove user content.
@Riceball01
@Riceball01 4 жыл бұрын
This is something that's actually being argued by Jorg Sparve and the KZbinrs union, one of their arguments against KZbin is that they want to have their cake and eat it too. When it works in their favor they're just a platform and so they don't have to pay any of the content creators while at the same time they try to be a content provider and exert control over what the content creators do. What the KZbinrs union is arguing is that they can't have it both, they can only be one or the other, not both at the same time. They can either be a platform which would mean that they can't control what the content creators do or they can be a content provider and exert control over the content providers but none of the other freedoms that being just a platform provides. Another issue is whether content creators are just contractors or are they employees. If they're contractors then they're exerting far too much over what the content creators say and do If they're employees then they need to pay content creators a fair wage and offer benefits. Once again it falls to KZbin not being allowed to have it both ways, it has to be one other or the other, only.

I’ve been using these for deer hunting in Minnesota for quite some time. They used to be called Magnum Gold. These Magnum Crush seem to be the same slug with a new name. Needless to say they work well on White Tails. I shot them through an 870 with factory rifled barred and in my experience had better more consistent accuracy (3-4” @ 100yds) than what we see here in this video. Lots of variables so take that for what it’s worth. Interesting to see your video and the performance of this, long time favorite of mine, slug. Thanks for the great video 👍🏻 And hopefully YT pulls their head from their hiney.

In every way, this slug is exactly what Im looking for. Thank you very much for close examination and especially the close look at the slug after firing to see deformation. The manufacturer explains that rifled barrels expect higher pressures due to the rifled grip on the slug, and are built to take those higher pressures accordingly. Thus mandatory rifled barrels only. Catastrophic failure can be expected with smooth bore.
