This is an important interview. This shows that mental illness does not discriminate. You can be rich, famous, and loved by thousands and still suffer from depression and/or addiction. The honesty this band has and the willingness to let their guard down is what makes them truly Shinedown.

Saw them on May 4, 2018, the day this record came out. Had never heard of Shinedown before. Was only there because my girlfriend wanted to go because they are her favorite band. The concert absolutely flattened me, and was the best concert I’ve ever seen. Now a mega fan for life.

@@devizestarset They did tour with Breaking Benjamin back with Threat to Survival tour coheadilned but thing didn't go well & they will never tour again unfortunately & I lost my respect for BB too. They were the only band SD had a bad time out of all the bands they toured with.

Awesome to hear that Atlantic Records will still let a band have time to actually develop rather than cutting them halfway through their first record to move on to the next thing.

What a tour... Sick Puppies, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, and Nickelback. I REALLY wish I could have seen one of those shows. I SINCERELY hope Nickelback and Shinedown tour together again. Add Breaking Benjamin to that too again and I would DIE, but I would completely be fine with just Nickelback and Shinedown.

Shinedown is great because they don't try to be something they are not. They are consistent and I know they will deliver that vintage Shinedown sound. I hate when bands try to change their sound because they think it will make them modern with the times ie. Papa Roach, Korn, Escape the Fate. Shinedown is not one of those bands.
@christiannixon94006 жыл бұрын
Its not the sound buddy. Its the feeling, Attention Attention is nothing like Leave a Whisper. They have changed, but like they keep saying, the honesty in thier music is what you sense. Not the sound.
@djjazzyjeff12325 жыл бұрын
I realize it's been a year, but saying that about Papa Roach just isn't fair. Their new album sounds 100% Papa Roach, so much so that I don't even like all of it. They have some almost straight up hip-hop songs on there, and I don't like that shit at all, but that's what they've done since the start. If you listen to their old shit, it's basically hip-hop. Even a song like Last Resort is mostly Hip-hop, so to say they're not what they used to be is just total BS so you can fuck right off with that.

They said a fanbase that is loyal and will let them go in any direction they want to. Fans were mad a Metallica with some of their albums. They also lost fans when they sued their fans over Napster.

I get what this Uk kid was saying to you guys.. stop with the poppy radio play music with all the sythn and the crappy unnecessary overlaid shit sounding orchestrated vocal tracks on every song... A raw 4 piece amazingly heavy sounding shinedown album is honestly what everyone wants to hear from you guys... Stop the fluff cycle and hit us with some hard rock shinedown honesty!!!Amazing band stop doling out the pop rock and punch your loyal fans in the face with some Real Shinedown !!!

It was benzos and cocaine in 2016. He had a moment with the stuff where he nearly hit the floor in the bathroom and realized he'd die if he kept it up. Eric drove him to a clinic to get help. He's been clean since.
@maryhelenbuchele73426 ай бұрын
@@IzDiaries I thought Brent said Benzo and alcohol. Where did you hear him say coke because that is definitely worse then what I thought. I think something happened to make him go down that road again that he won't say. It made him get close to his sons mother & talk to Jasin for the 1st time since he left. TTS really makes sence after finding that out.
