Well done hiding from Human eyes, how about hiding from drones that have Flir/ Thermals on board, or UGV's that are equipped with an array of sensors with multiple cameras and are armed. Having standard camo in the 21st century is so 18th century, esp with today's tech. It would be nice if we could get manufacturers to incorporate RF, and Thermal blocking materials into modern camo outfits, so when the robot armies, or when the UN or the Virginia Ghetto birds are hunting us patriots we could disappear into the cover as effective as you demonstrate here. I’m impressed with how well the uniform performs, the only instances in which I spotted you was if your face was either facing the camera or in partial sunlight. Side note: I have noticed though that despite the camouflage effectiveness, it seems that the material itself sometimes seems to “glow” in direct sunlight at least on camera. I wonder if it’s the nylon that might give the ripstop that effect.
@HerculesEinstein Жыл бұрын
i think it's more the camera but we're supposed to focus on the guy so that's what we notice. pick almost anything in frame that's hit with direct sunlight and it's kinda washed out.

You can see how this pattern has an easier time blending into the more dull backgrounds here and at least in my book, that makes it pretty good. Brent, of all the camouflage you have tested, if you had to pick one for all four seasons, what is your top pic? If you were able to pick two, top 2 picks?
@Brent03315 жыл бұрын
Not really sure man, I'd have to look at some of the videos I done over the past.

@@Brent0331 that would be a cool video. In my area multicam or civilian camo realtree apg seems to be the winner, but seeing your choices and thoughts behind it would be very insightful. Thank you for your time in producing great content.

Really great pattern for your area. This is right up there with Multi-Cam and that Rhodesian pattern. Had a hard time spotting you this time around; I missed you twice. Any chance on you trying Realtree's new EDGE pattern? Every time I think they can't possibly improve their patterns, they prove me wrong.
@Brent03315 жыл бұрын
Honestly man I don't really dive into the hunting patterns too much. The military patterns are really where my interest is, plus there's a collector value in having them.

@@Brent0331 Fair enough; the military pattern have a mystique to them that the hunting patterns don't. I go for flawless mimicry, so I swear by the Realtree patterns: I think Max-4 worked well enough in your area, but their new Max-5 would likely be the best pattern for your area. I use the XTRA pattern here in northern Indiana, but I'm dying to get my hands on the new EDGE pattern. Keep it up, brother!

@@Brent0331 Update - I found a company called Arcturus that partnered with Realtree that makes leaf suits; basically ghillie suits without the foliage. The Realtree pattern is the new one and runs $85 but they have their own patterns (I like the Fall Foliage) that only run $69. Hell, I've heard you can pick up a Kryptek one for under $50. Gonna nab me one of the Realtree ones and start crafting a ghillie. Any chance you might do a ghillie suit episode? That's definitely got the military mystique!

Overall quite good colour match no flare in Sunlight best with a little cover in front to hide outline . The Face unfortunately under camouflaged sticks out like a Greyhounds Nads

In my opinion OCP is probably the best 2 dimensional pattern ever invented.

I’ve been thinking about something what would happen if you two toned a camouflage such as OCP and Multicam so OCP bottom and Multicam top

I spotted your face in some places quicker. This works great in your foliage on camera I'd love to try and spot you live to see if I spot you faster lol. Great stuff here!

80% of the time it’s the head/shoulder profile giving it away. This one works pretty good.
