Yes, the production of the film was originally undertaken for us by Fairford Films (England) in Dun Laoghaire who took over the facilities of Emerald City Productions. Unfortunately, despite their assurances, Fairford did not complete the film. Fairford's promises to us cost us a great deal of money and resulted in the studio's demise, which, as the creators of the original Emerald City studio, caused us a great deal of pain. We are indeed the Writers/Directors/Producers.

Sadly, we remember, as the senior staff were all artists we had personally trained and they told us and sent us newspaper clippings. There was no way we could get Fairford to release the employee money, which they kept telling us they had. Ironically, the Emerald City studio originally went to Fairford to keep it from it having to be closed. We hoped the money for the sale of the equipment would go to the employees. It didn't come to us. Sorry to hear the employees didn't get it.

As far as I know the senior staff who had worked for Emerald City got some cash. I only came on board when it was Fairford, so I was way down the pecking order. The average grunt on the staff didn't get a cent, the painters, Inbetweeners, inkers and the like. Anyway, has been interesting exchanging info with you, I hadn't thought of the film for years and decided to look it up on KZbin and there was one of the scenes I had drawn and it turns out to be the only one I still have the drawings of.

That would interfere with the DVD that is out but we welcome any ideas for putting it on a commercial streaming site.

Apparently the person who made the comment below did although we never met him. The film was begun in Ireland but had to be completed in the Phillipines.

Ha. Old ahh comment but whatever - This was written / directed / produced by my grandparents. They mentioned to me multiple times in the last year about putting this on Amazon prime. If you still want to watch it (like I still do, every Christmas) then I'd suggest looking there. I could always ask them personally if this one is up, but I think it is.

Well, we hope the drawings may bring you some money. And we hope the inkers and painters kept cells they could sell. If you see any of our artists, send them our best wishes. A&J

This film was produced by Fairford Films in Dublin, Ireland, I know because I worked as Inbetweener and assistant animator on this very scene (I even have the actual drawings for this scene) Why are you claiming to be the maker and producer of this? unless you are Fairford Films going under a different name, in which case I want the money you owe me and the staff who worked on this. We went unpaid for the final two months of the production and remain so to this day.

which version is this? What movie?

Ok, thanks for clearing that up, that chancer who ran Fairford cost me and others a lot of money as well. I've always wondered where Roy is and who else is he ripping off now. The company rapped up in December 1991 I believe leaving the entire staff broke for Christmas, not a happy memory I'm afraid

I personally prefer Johnny Lee, James Baskett, and Jess Harnell as the voices of Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox.
