Brestovac sanatorium and his long-hidden secret - OSM hiking

If the walls spoke, we think there will be a lot of stories about this place.
Brestovac...once elite sanatorium and now ruins.
It is the beginning of the 20th century, precisely 1907. Due to poverty and poor hygienic conditions, TBC was one of the most widespread diseases at that time in Europe.
Medicine at the time was not very functional as we have today and there was a lack of doctors.
This is a brief look at a place that has a hundred years on its back.

My great-grandparents had the tuberculosis too, but that was such a time between world wars. Thanks for modern medicine. Bloody work, it always gets in the way of fun! We miss Sretana, too, but you did a great job. That looked like a grand sanatorium, one fit for the rich and famous. There is an empty beauty about the structure as nature reclaims it. Tuberculosis must have been awful. I wonder what the future will say about our Covid times? Hi Mary and Jay. Yes, the sanatorium was one of the most modern in Europe. One of the few who had an X-ray (RTG) at the time. I think every decade had some problem with the virus. Tuberculosis was at the end and beginning of the 19th and 20th centuries, so the Spanish flu, bird flu, pig flu, Sars, Ebola ... I think this is Covid's time. But chin up and this will pass.
