Bret: this guy makes Vader look like Shawn Michaels
@ownknow81613 ай бұрын
*🤣😂😂🤣 That’s crazy, because Vader was known as a “shooter”/“stiff worker”. Same as “The Road Warriors”. So, Goldberg had to be one of the absolute worst performers in that professional wrestling ring. SHEESH!!!! @@pc8679*, when Regal told the story of how Goldberg was clueless as to how to have an awesome professional wrestling match, I was like: “Goldberg really WAS clueless. And here he is trying to pass off as a legitimate jiu-jitsu student. 🐂💩. He was just mimicking the holds of other people. 🤣😂😂🤣”.*
@pc86793 ай бұрын
@@ownknow8161 his claim to fame was that he was booked as invincible during a time when people still thought it was real. He wasn’t a great worker or talker. He had the look though, I will give him that. The guy was/is a legitimate tough guy, nobody will deny that. He would have been more suited to MMA.
@ownknow81613 ай бұрын
*The problem with that,* @@pc8679*, is that Rob Van Damme, Taz, “Glacier”, Shamrock, Severn, Blackmon, and other legitimate mma fighters were able to transition into being legitimate workers and professional wrestlers, so there is no excuse for being in the professional wrestling business, if he truely did not want to be there. I used to feel bad for Goldberg because in every interview Hall & Nash would call him a mark. But now I can’t stand him and he is a mark. It’s like in the movie ANY GIVEN SUNDAY - LL COOL J thought he was REALLY playing football - which led to his fight with Jamie Foxx - who was like dude we’re just acting. Over the past few years, new documentaries have come out where Bill said he REALLY wanted Hall to use a real life taser or real stun gun at Starrcade. WTF?! The whole art of wrestling is to make it “look” like you’re hurting each other without doing so - make money etc. I saw Goldberg on broken sessions with Austin and dude just didn’t get it. He didn’t want EVERYTHING to look real. He wanted it to be real. Someone said it best: “The wrestler who was the safest in the ring to work with got his career ruined by the wrestler who was the most careless.” It’s sad.
@ownknow81613 ай бұрын
*Yea; if he dumped King Tonga/Haku on his head, the guy wasn’t safe, at all. Just thinking about how he ended Bret’s career, and never took responsibility for it, is arrogantly ignorant of him. And if he wanted it to be real, then, he should’ve gone to ECW or XPW. He could’ve gone to CZW, during its inception. Hearing this interview really makes me wonder if Bill Goldberg was really a plant. 🤔*
