EDIT NOTE: I edited this episode quickly and made a couple of mistakes in how rough the cut looks. One weird cut is after the 2 hour mark, where it sounds like Bret is about to make a point, but I actually interrupt him for clarification and then go of on a tangent and never return. I edited out the interruption which made the cut look weird. I failed here both as an interviewer and editor. I'm trying to get better at both, and hire help for the latter, since I still do it all alone. Please be patient with me.

@@andyvogel9817 I will check that virology link. I don't know enough about virology to be able to sift, but I do feel confident that Bret was not speaking in bad faith and noted that he avoided excess hubris to his assertions and possible hypotheses and questions. I don't see him parallel to Q-Anon crap like Plandemic (resentful ex doctor) or the first-aid clinic doctors. On the other hand the fact that they censored Bret when he was speaking with a renowned experienced medical doctor (and censored his US Senate testimony), and have censored other legit medical doctors with mainstream cred .. except for a bit of a critical angle or even questions and curiosity, that's disconcerting. I mean if YT wanted to censor somebody who said SARS-COV2 is a plan from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, well I prefer no censorship but at least that reaction is understandable. Not this.

I remember the first time I improvised a guitar solo that was truly " inspired". Inspired in the sense that it did not come from me but rather from somewhere else. I know what you're thinking because I used to feel the same way. This is what people refer to as anything from being in the zone, to feeling the holy spirit, to being possessed. All I know is that I was no longer "thinking" about what to play, which is what one does even while improvising. Typically while improvising you're playing things that you know will work in a given context, but I only thought about the first phrase and after that I just played what the song wanted me to. It's like I noticed it after it had already been going on for awhile. I didn't have to think about anything at all really, the music was playing me! That's really the best way I can describe it. Get some freinds together and jam out, just do it, there is nothing like that feeling. Probably the only thing that I would ever call spiritual to happen to me.

This is the best interview I’ve seen that gives open minded people information without a skew. It’s a fine line to walk and you do it beautifully. Im an old broad so take this seriously. I speak the truth I’ve learned as an empathetic 70 years on this earth. I think you have what we call in the South you have an old wise soul. You seem older than you are and I feel younger each day. This all has me reliving my old hippie days of protests and sit-Ins about our military losing at one time 100k brave soldiers that were my friends that were drafted without choice to join military. Vietnam was a war that we felt was for nothing good but for invasion of another country for assets. I’ve never trusted the government since. Perspective is very important. That’s why I’m sharing my story with you. I’ve never forgotten how manipulated we felt as they portrayed us as kids who used drugs. That was farther from the truth! Besides even if we were smoking marijuana from Mexico (that’s a big hint on the government too) we would just eat and sleep. While alcohol was killing people. Tell me what’s up with that? I can tell you as someone who has spent years around high-energy physics that his theory is roundly rejected by almost everyone for highly technical reasons. I understand that the average person who hasn’t studied physics doesn’t know any better. But believe me, it’s an incredibly poorly-defined theory that makes almost no testable predictions. There are better ideas on which one can spend time thinking.

@@CanWeGetDeep I'll try to explain why it's not even worth reading. There are entire conferences on quantum gravity, with papers being published every month. Real practicing theoretical physicists at top physics departments are the people who work on this. Look up people like Ed Witten, Nima Arkani-Hamed, Gerard t'Hooft. These are the people who are worth listening to. They work on quantum gravity daily. Eric is not a practicing physicist. It is impossible to keep up with the massive volume of technical developments that have occurred in a field if you have left it for over 20 years. It is simply not possible. His paper on geometric unity has no reference whatsoever to numerous developments in recent years. How do you link it to the standard model? How does it make testable predictions? If you can't provide adequate answers to these and numerous other developments which have occurred in the last 20 years, then it's not worth anybody's time. It either makes testable predictions or it doesn't. His theory does not. It's that simple. Crazy ideas are a dime a dozen in theoretical physics and almost all of them are wrong. It is incredibly hard to come up with a great new idea in physics and if you haven't been following hte field for 20+ years, it is almost guaranteed your ideas are incorrect, because how could you possibly explain the most recent developments that actual physicists who work daily on a given topic have developed? Lex, English is my second language as well and I also have problems with judging myself in my own head for things that I say. So I rather not talk and just listen. You are doing so well in this after hundreds of these interviews and conversations. You are talking and expressing yourself a lot more now, rather than just asking questions. You are doing great. I hope I can be more like you. Having the courage to be better everyday really inspire me. We love you Lex.

Lex, you are consuming my life hour by hour. I honestly can't imagine how you commit the time for all of the background work, production work and the actual conversations themselves while I face such a challenge just consuming your product! Consistently your conversations are filled with wit, profundity, incredible and sincere humanity and good will, often with just the right touch and balance of the bizarre. One of my main personal life goals is to continually explore the experience of becoming more and more fully human and understanding everything that means. Exposure to your work feeds that goal and shows me that I am not the only one pursuing it. Being considerably older than your tender 24 years (wink, wink) I have the solace that when I do travel my path as far as I can and shuck off this mortal coil that there will still be someone left to carry the banner of humanity and compassion into the future. Thanks so much!

Lex has really helped to dispel some of my skepticism towards the scientific community - this video has solidified my respect for Lex- his ability to see clearly the dangers of censorship and use his voice and platform to add to the discourse by having these open conversations at such a critical time. Well done, Lex :)

3:11:25 This part made me sad. We don't "know" there is no meaning to life. We know that the material realm will eventually end, but Bret's response discounts the consciousness, supernatural considerations, and otherwise misunderstood factors. We don't know these things like we know 2+2=4. Otherwise loved this chat, very informative :)

Bret: "What society puts children at risk to save old people?" A society where it's usually old people who are the billionaires &/or those in 'power' & it is they who own the shares in all these corporations that are colluding (as they have over other issues like climate change). A society where corporations can fund politicians as much as they like & thus the billionaire majority shareholders of those corps can buy political influence or even total control of individual politicians. A society which is controlled by a 'cartel' of old money billionaires - who - own the majority of shares in these key corporations (which they have inflated beyond true value, using bubble economics & taxpayer's money). That sort of society :-/

I totally get why folks are pissed off at "Capitalism." Problem is that Communism and National Socialism is worse, and the endless creation of "Capitol" (valueless money printed endlessly whenever convenient) largely destroys the value of individuals engaged in free exchanges. It's like Biden being a total snake the other day and saying to small businesses "pay them more" while taxing them to highly to function, forcing them to be closed "because Covid" (while Amazon Target and Walmart are unrestricted), and his crew print money endlessly from nothing (effectively stealing from the productive) to pay folks not to work. It's a scam. What can I realistically invest in? Dot com bubble, housing in 08, Covid... the economy seems to be manipulated constantly to steal your earnings, savings, investments, lifes work and retirement. I think crypto is also probably going to end up a trap. It's a pyramid scheme of sorts with nothing at the bottom. We are all f***ed. So "live not for tomorrow." Or as The Dude says: take it easy, man. Desire and attachment are the root of all suffering.
