You should scroll while in your magic casting mode, you have access to a battle prayer that heals your troops and levels your medicine while its healing in combat called Blessing of the Lady or something like that.

Britannian nobles are extremely op early game. Give them a try. Also cavalry in general is buffed in this mod

OP *early game?* Nah mate, they're jusp OP. Period. The only troops I've seen that gives them any trouble is other heavy cavalry. Infantry and archers just get stomped.

@@The_Keeper yeah, no joke, as the other Bretonia career, you can consistently go against double the numbers and not lose a single knight. My playthrough, the majority of my losses have come from friendly fire by the relatively weak offensive spell mages.

@@ReformistTM The nobles are expensive to hire, but they only have a starting wage of 3. You can sustain them instantly.

You should start with access to a battle prayer as well, just cycle your spells in combat and you will see it. It starts on cooldown though, later in the career path the prayers will allow mana regeneration, so it is good to start using early.

The starting prayer also heals your troops and levels your medicine in combat while it does so.

Great job as always. Think about going with a role play of light armored mage that has an "HQ" that you have a group of high tiered calvary protecting you. Basically a bunch of Knights of the Realm running around with you.

Damsel doesnt have a career ability intentionally, instead, they can cast spells and prayers

You are so right when you say one battle can change the whole campaign. I just finished a playthrough where I was having difficulty making advancement until one large siege defense. The southern empire never fully recovered. Even after making peace.

To be more precise, if you are a male with the gift of magic the damsels take you when you are a child and you are never seen again. If you are a female, the damsels will teach you in order to become one of them.

Don't spend money hiring peasents and upgrading them into cavalry, the nobles are far superior and cheaper in the long run. By the way, cavalry seems to cycle charge in this mod, so that is why they were behaving weirdly in the beginning. I'm loving this already, keep it up!

I expect the Knight guy to be a bodyguard kind of unit, specifically for your class. The moment you get attacked he gets to a range where he can enough momentum for a couch lance attack

I'd suggest cycling through your Q abilities to use your battle prayers. Also there are shrines to the lady around the land that give you buffs and improve your prayer ability.

Bretonnia is all about their OP super human knights who worship ZE Lady and peasants to be cannon fodder. Also, the Grail Knights are the best cav in the old world aside from blood knights and black grail knights.

i think you should get like 4 nobles because they can solo like 15-20 outlaws and when you have 20-40 you can go to carcassone towards the beastmen hordestone and camp there since there is ungor raiders with 70+ units who you can still beat with 20-40 cav. But i was playing on easier settings and as a knight so that might change things. (btw love your content keep it up)

The cav sycling back like that seems weird when theres only 1 but when you get multiple you will notice the charge effect is really powerful. The cav AI is being really smart although it seems dumb in small outlaw battles such as this also when the 1 knight is fighting very few enemies the enemies manage to block him as its only 1 entity to focus on, when you just have 3-5 cav chargign together they wont be able to block the way they are now.

I honestly also don't know why you have the Knight, XD and you have no UI like the spellbook for the Prayers at the moment, but something like that will be done in the future, and when you want to use your Prayer in Battle it is between your speels you just need to scroll, ^^ in Bretonnia you have no Magister, only woman learn magic there and they get the magic from the fey enchantress ^^

once you can afford noble troop reliability forget about the other troops, the noble troops are by far stronger, even the basic tier, than the highest tier lowborn troop

I guess Ser Retardus 😂 he quickly become a grail knight, congratulations to him! Would be a good idea to make Nicole a horse archer so that she can still inflict damage when she's out of mana. No you don't have to go to the empire to learn magic! In towns there is always a damsel that can teach you

Remember not to overrely on a single unit type and you will most likely need to travel to the empire at some point to find a magister also stop and pray at shrines to boost your faith skill

Unfortunately Reformer. The updates that make things like medicine level better have not yet been incorporated to this mod. I love it but I hope they make this mod more in line with current version mechanics. Skills don't level up like current versions. You have to still go into every settlement to talk to someone and the quests are very few in number

@ReformistTM oh I'm not complaining. Yes it does work for 1.20 and I do like it. The above is still true though. We can't talk to npcs without going into settlement and the additions to skills like making Medicinr level.up in other ways do not operate like in vanilla. That's why medic9ne skill was improving slowly
