This 2009 team was so fun to watch on both sides of the ball.

@@rossfranklin2782 Nah, Drew Brees should've won MVP in 2009, but both he and Favre deserved it over Manning imo.
@johnselwitz53624 ай бұрын
@@redwings0142Absolutely. I’ve got nothing against Peyton Manning but the Associated Press loved handing him MVPs during years where there was someone more deserving. They did it in 2008 as well. Kurt Warner absolutely deserved the MVP that season. I know the Cardinals went 9-7 in 2008 but they still won their division (something the Colts didn’t do in 2008) and that Arizona team would’ve been awful without him. In 2008, Warner had more passing yards, completions, threw more touchdowns, had a higher quarterback rating and a better completion percentage than Peyton. While Manning went one and done in the playoffs for the second consecutive year, Kurt took a Cardinal’s team that wasn’t as stacked with talent as the Colts and led them all the way to the Super Bowl. But because Peyton was the NFL’s golden boy who could do no wrong, they handed him the MVP.

Say what you want about Brett Favre but the one thing you can never say about Favre is that he never got you the ball. Greatest Gunslinger I’ve ever seen in my lifetime 🙏

As much as I enjoyed that season (I was 17 years old by the way) I don't think I'll live this one down NFC Championship game @NO. I'm 31 now but I felt that was our year. The Colts had nothing on the 12-4 Vikings. If sports betting wasn't legal I can almost guarantee that after a thorough investigation Sean Peyton wouldn't have just gotten suspended for a whole season. The New Orleans Saints' NFC Championship title would have been stripped and the Vikings would be representing the NFC in the Super Bowl
