Brett Funk - Guitar Improv - 2021 - Schecter C-1 FR S SLS Elite + Three 1988 Zions.

This is just a zoomed in version of the video experiment I did last November. I filmed it at 2560x1440, then made a 1920x1080 export. So even after the zoom in, it still came out pretty clear. I'm learning Adobe Premier Pro, and the learning curve seems to be leveling off a bit.
This way you can see how pretty my guitars are, and you don't have to look at my face, win win! 😃

Would it be possible to hear some clean sounds on the C-1? I'm thinking about buying the evil twin version but sadly can't try it out anywhere. 1500€ for a guitar I haven't touched and haven't heard the clean sounds of makes me feel quite uneasy. Regardless, amazing playing as always!

Here's the rub. The Sustainiac pickup, when used "as a single coil" pickup, which I would use for a clean tone, it's mediocre at best. And you cannot use the Sustainiac driver at the same time as you are using it as a pickup. In other words, if you are in the neck pickup position with your pickup selector switch, and then you activate the Sustainiac driver with the small Sustainiac switch, it automatically switches your pickups so that you are now hearing the bridge pickup. I do like the Fishman Fluence pickups. I have them in both bridge and neck positions on my Strangberg, but it has a totally different tone than the Schecter. If you want to use ONLY the bridge pickup for your clean tones, you'll like this guitar. However, if I'm ever tracking clean guitar, I always use a different instrument, like any of the Zions in this video, and my clean tone is nearly always a combination of the middle and neck single coils, that prevents hum and has the prettiest tone for my taste.

Thanks Rob! I use a noise gate and set the threshold based on the output level of the pickups in the guitar I'm playing.
