So basically, they're running a 20-yard option route that can be 1) a post, 2) a skinny post, 3) a dig route, 4) a corner route, 5) a fade, or 6) a deep out. Russell Wilson needs to buy time to allow Lockett to read the leverage of the DB and make his cut, THEN throw the ball, but he can do that consistently because he's Russell Wilson. ...Yeah, sounds pretty hard to defend.

Seattle literally ran the ball with Carson & did few deep passes until it was too late. The whole time, I was hoping Carroll would let Russell do his thing, but didn’t until it was too late. I blame play calling (& the many PI calls they got) for Seattle’s loss. They could’ve won. Props to Dallas, though.

Well, it looks like the Cowboys had an answer for the run game, but they hadn't figured out the deep ball. Those insane passes to Baldwin with the toe drag, and that catch by Lockett in their final drive prove that this chemistry was still lethal. Shame that Shottenheimer and Carroll kept trying to run the ball, which really cost them the game. I know Seattle's pass blocking isn't as good as their run blocking, and against that young, aggressive Dallas front, they wanted to control the clock and grind out drives down the field, but all it did was force Wilson into mid field third-and-long scenarios. That deep ball chemistry kept them in the game down the stretch. What a shame.
@James-hq1yv5 жыл бұрын
We didn't care about the deep ball. The job was to stop the number 1 rushing attack in football and we did just that.

Here is the most remarkable thing about this duo, their size . You small a small QB dropping dimes to a small WR, who is truly incredible. Most QBs had that big target they could go to but Russell Wilson for years was throwing to smaller guys like Golden Tate, Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and Tyler Lockett and the accuracy was incredible.

@shubisharanraghavan22965 жыл бұрын
sadly true. God that game was frusturating. My favorite part was that after they had no hope, after letting Dak score, its then that they decide "Hey, let's throw it deep." The Cowboys, if my facts are right, were like 23rd in passing defense according to DVOA or something, but 7th in Run D. So, when should you attack that passing defense. When you have one of the best deep throwers in the NFL and 2 of the best route runners. That would be nice. But, the Seahawks decided to try and run against a stacked Dallas from 7. What's done is done, but had they started passing more on 1st and Second instead of getting into 3rd and long, That game would probably gone differently.
@thie97815 жыл бұрын
@@shubisharanraghavan2296 So true the Cowboys pride themselves in Smith and LVE and we do them a favor, running into their arms They always want to open the pass by running it. How about opening the run by passing it, we have the pieces to do that. Pass it at 1st down and they will be mire careful the next time. But no Run Run Pass...
