He did the exact same thing to the Jays in 2015. At the deadline they were barely .500, went all-out on acquiring Tulo, Price, etc., and made it to the ALCS. Dodgers are chokers. Only won 2020 cause it some players decided not to play and it was a shortened season. Some players even got COVID during the year and had to leave. They could never win in a legitimate post season. Kershaw is always trash in the clutch. Only a shame Houston had to cheat their way to victory, now people will claim Dodgers would have won. Bullshit. The Yankees would’ve torn them a new a one. Dodgers are CHOKERS. Too much pressure they never seem to handle.
@WildwoodClaire13 жыл бұрын
Their victory equals their one win as the Milwaukee Braves (1953-1965) and one win as the Boston Braves (1871-1952) and exceeds the two World Series appearances while in Milwaukee (1957 and 1958) and two while in Boston (1914 and 1948). BTW, the 1914 win by the Boston Braves was so unexpected that some have questioned the legitimacy of that World Series.

It was a series full of dominate pitching. Braves just had a few more timely hits. Both teams had the opportunity to break it open multiple times. If you're the Brewers there is nothing to hang your hat on, they have a great team but unfortunately their offense just came up a little bit short. For the Braves, this series was won on pitching which is the opposite of what they are known for. If they continue to pitch like this and can get into a groove offensively they have a real shot. Soler being out hurts, but at least they have some time until the start of the next series so hopefully he won't miss too many games.

The whole review system needs to be done away with if they're not going to get it right. They need to be broadcasted over the air and have to explain what they see. There's no reason for them to need to know what the call on the field was, it doesn't matter because it was a questionable call. There is zero repercussions for umpires doing a bad job, and zero reasons why there shouldn't be some sort of punishment. Unless they implement some changes, then the replay will continue to exists solely to cover the umps on the field.

He Remains 0-1 this Postseason, and His ERA stands in at 3.86. I'm not worried about him yet. Not until the NLCS. + Thankfully, The Bullpen STEPPED UP. 6 Pitchers Worked Together to Limit the Brewers through the Final 5 2/3 Innings, Allowing Another 2 Runs on 4 Hits, Walking 2, But Striking Out 10 Brewers Batters! Tyler Matzek Gets the Win in Relief, Pitching a 1-2-3 8th Inning, Recording a Strike Out Along the Way. Will Smith gets his 3rd Save of the Postseason, Allowing a Lead-Off Single AND NOTHING ELSE, STRIKING OUT ADAMES AND YELICH TO END THE BREWERS SEASON! - ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 4 Runs, 8 hits, 3 Walks, 15 Strikeouts, 1 Home Run Allowed. The Braves' Offense HAD THE WILLPOWER to TEAR The Brewers Apart! + Eddie Rosario COMING THROUGH WHEN IT MATTERS! HE SALVAGES THE 4TH WITH A BAT-BREAKING, GAME-TYING, RBI Single in the 4th! That would be his ONLY hit of the Night, as he Finished 1-3. Rosario Holds onto a .308 Average with an OPS of .665 So Far This Postseason! + THE JOC CONTINUES TO ENDEAR HIMSELF INTO THE HEARTS OF BRAVES FANS! Despite an 0-4 Night, HE DID EARN AN RBI VIA A FORCEOUT IN THE 5TH! Pederson Stands in with a .429 Average with an OPS of 1.714 Through Just 7 At-Bats this Postseason! + Travis d'Arnaud may have been the most CONSISTENT Brave of the Night! 1-2 with TWO WALKS AND A GAME-TYING RBI SINGLE IN THE 5TH! d'Arnaud Clings to a .167 Average with an OPS of .500 through 4 Games! + M-V-FREE! M-V-FREE! GIVE HIM THE MVP AGAIN! WITH 2 OUTS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 8TH, FREDDIE FREEMAN, ON THE FIRST PITCH HE SEES FROM JOSH HADER, DESTROYS AN 84 MPH SLIDER, AND ALL OF MILWAUKEE'S POSTSEASON HOPES, WITH A SOLO SUPER MISSILE INTO THE LEFT-CENTER FIELD SEATS! He would Finish 3-5, As He Also had a Single and Double in the Earlier Innings! Freeman is now batting .308 with an OPS of 1.086 Through 4 Postseason Games! + FOR THE 2ND YEAR IN A ROW, THE ATLANTA BRAVES ARE RETURNING TO THE NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (NLCS)! IT TOOK FOUR HARD FOUGHT GAMES, BUT THE BRAVES PULLED IT OFF! The Pitching... EXCELLENT! The Offense...SPECTACULAR! And the Defense...ROCK SOLID! The Brewers were CERTAINLY A FORMIDABLE OPPONENT.... BUT THE BRAVES HAD THE WILLPOWER TO WIN! The Braves Now AWAIT THE WINNER OF GIANTS / DODGERS.... The Road Only Gets Rougher from Here... But whoever said the Journey to a Championship was EVER EASY? - For the Milwaukee Brewers.... Despite a Convincing 95-67 Season... They Suffer a Division Series EXIT.... They certainly had the Pitching to Compete, But their Offense.... Never really got Going. And when it did.... It was TOO LATE. A Lot of Question Marks hang over this team going forward, and I fear their Window for a Championship may be starting to close. Is Craig Counsel really the answer? Will the Pitching Staff they have ever be enough? And who in that offense.... IS THE WEAKEST LINK? The Braves will get Three Days Off Before Traveling to EITHER Oracle Park in San Francisco OR Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Game 1 Of the NLCS Will Take Place Saturday, October 16th (The Day Before my 24th Birthday), on TBS (International)! Freddie was celebrating because frankly, he's struggled in big games. This group of Braves is built for playoff baseball because it lives and dies by The Big Hit, and that's what post-season baseball is all about. Well, until the one guy came down with covid.

Happy for the braves, even as a brewers fan. Hurts to say but they are definitely the better team

If we don't lock up Freddie after this postseason run, what exactly are we doing? Side note: Luis Urias is really good. The Brewers have themselves a gem at 3rd.

Imagine thinking the brewers were a contender all year with their "elite pitching". Brewers got swept last series of the season against the dodgers and that was a sign for things to come.
@corvaliis3 жыл бұрын
exactly lol I never was convinced their AAA pitching had what it took. Next year watch them all level out to the 4.00 ERAs they are supposed to get and stuff.

I passed by on my way to Orlando and the noise when Freeman hit the homerun was crazy hard. (Thats exactly when I was passing by the Stadium) . I heard they had like 40,000 fans last night.

The Braves were actually quite good the last month of the season, whereas the Brewers were not. So not that surprising this was the outcome. I hope Atlanta pulls off an upset against California in the next series (whomever they play). Hoping for a Braves/Astros WS.

So fitting that Yelich be the final out of the series. He is done in my book.

How did Yelich not swing at that last pitch? Called strike 3 to end the series is unacceptable from a superstar. Gotta at least swing for contact.
