I liked how you described what you were doing and what you were planning to do and then gave explanations for various things.You even gave a VERY quick and dirty rundown of the brew system. Very good explanation given the circumstances (short time, not the correct audience for in depth description). Definitely immersed me into what was going on. As a tank (protadin), its just nice to hear someone else talk about applied tanking. It would be nice if most of your future tanking TDPs kept this format. Also, great job on editing Senior Ghost.

Just to note, when you say you don't have any cooldowns when brew is down for the big first boss explosion, I would recommend use Zen Meditation in the moment before it goes off. It doesn't get used for much else.

Preach, you moused over the best all-around defensive leggo in the game and said it's "not great." An extra 3 seconds of stagger duration is huge, it's our best defensive legendary outside of specific-use ones. As far as stat priorities crit=master=vers unless it's a pure magic fight.

I think in that wipe after the drums, the eye beam was on the druid who died to it, so the beam switched to a melee who were all stacked up front killing the adds, so all three just like died instantly. Unlucky.

Just in case you didn't know preach, you can also use paralyze to interrupt the archers and the knife dance. Works wonders.

All the damage was from the brutal glaive dot tick, not the rush; the druid was standing too close the melee group. Also, brewmasters can paralysis the melee add through the fence before it jumps in to the encounter zone.

Just an fyi Preach, you can use paralysis on those archers and knife dance guys to interrupt their casts :)

Btw as a monk you can use your paralyze ability to interrupt channeled casts. It will however use a stack of the CC diminishing returns on pve mobs but it can be done. Death grip can also be used to interrupt most channeled casts if it forces the target to move, which isn't hard at all.

I do believe it removes dots, be mindful that using that ability will annoy the classes that use dots, unless it was changed.

Volrag funny enough I discovered it removed dots around night hold, I think blizz intended it to be used as only a cc so it would get rid of the dots so the cc wouldn't break right away. I'm not sure if it's still around but it was around during night hold.

If you didn't know it already, you can use Paralyze (and similar spells) to interrupt every channeled ability, like the Knife Dance, Arrow Barrage, and even normal shots, just try not to enrage your dps players relying on dots :P

"High geared BrMs tend to boast with not using their Combo on Defensive measures" A few things that you should keep in mind there. a) Blackout Combo (BoC) used with Keg Smash does not do anything more defensive than give Keg Smash a higher Brew Cooldown reduction, which you may or may not even need. b) BoC with Tiger Palm does an enourmous amount of extra damage, especially with Face Palm Relics, and as a DK player you should know the importance of a few houndred k more dps in a group. c) Ironskin Brew is capped since a few patches now, meaning that Brew Generation is not the be-all end-all anyway. You could also use BoC on Ironskin Brew for the very useful Stagger-Stop, especially on Varimathras, where it is absolutely vital.

Greetings Preacher! Im having somne issues as arms on HC Coven, and more specificly surviving the fire dot they use. It feels as if die by the sword isnt enough. I do also have commanding shout, but I want to save that for the raid. Been looking at some logs after my gleader pointed it out (fury warrior). But I cant make any sense of it. Sorta just feels like im getting rekt. Any advice?

You can use pilgrmige and go to Order hall, mount your repair mount, repair your gear, use Pilgrimige again, and tadaa, you're back in the dungeon!, only took ~1-2 minute

MatobiGames if I could pick only one to get rid of it would definitely be bursting. Bolstering a close second. I get that they're meant to control your pulls but in pugs it's just a nightmare because you get idiots that complain you're not pulling enough and decide to do it themselves. I'm all for something that would act similar to bolstering but maybe make it so if someone randomly pulls they can't drop aggro for a certain amount of time so at least maybe they learn to let the tank pull when they have 6 mobs just wailing on them

Oh, I would love to get back to my monk and others. I played late pandaria and really enjoyed it. I spend a lot of time playing on free servers. Had to make a KZbin account just for this. Jewel and prydaz are really strong defensively. Brewmaster really relies on your healer to a degree. For pugs where you don’t know if you can trust your healer try running high tolerance instead of blackout combo. Black or brew is generally better than gift of the mists. Makes it easier to keep up with brews. Instead of gemming for Vers try crit. Your celestial fortune makes it to where you have a chance equal to your crit chance for all incoming healing to be increased by 65%. Mastery also makes you really strong against necrotic so maybe your mastery is a little low I didn’t see

One point, on the lacking AOE comment. With leggo chest you can pump serious numbers with BOF having its dmg buffed in the artifact tree and being constantly reset by keg smash. It's easy to be highest AOE in the dungeon if you're running with less than pros.

You can Zen Med through the burst though, don't have to just go with ISB. And as someone else already pointed out, the ring is pretty great. It's actually prydaz that you would wanna swap out with another leggo. Bubble's nice, stats are good, just not like..the best.

I stopped playing wow in tomb (played monk as an alt) but seeing you not use paralyze ever is kinda frustrating, especially when you say "can't deal with knife dance, need to rely on others to stun" while paralyze is off cd :/ It is an amazing spell to deal with un- and interruptable spells especially with its "low" cd (compared to other incapacitating skills) Only downside is, some people might get annoyed if it is overused, since it removes dot's.
