Brad Wagner with Bobber Down guide service is the fishiest guy I've met. I went on a trip with him for fall Chinook, and we were limited on big fish when no one else was hooking anything. I highly recommend guided trips with Brad.

Looked like some sweet fishing there. The neighbor and his wife were over there a week or so ago... Sockeye limit day 1 at the Pool... Chinook limit day 2 at the Falls.

How cool is that. I want to do that next trip

We spent 3 weeks over on the pool fishing 3 days a week leaving the weekends to others. Some days the bite was just off. Did Brad have any hints on bait? I was thinking this year I may try sodium sulfate to heat up the shrimp.

I really wish he did show me his shrimp recipe. 1 thing I can share is I switched from 20-30lb seaguar leader. That 1 change improved the bites like crazy. If Brad shares his shrimp recipe with me and wants to share it with others I will be glad to pass it on right here.

Hey man, I really like the channel. I just subscribed. Did Brad say why 30lb vs 20lb leader makes such a difference? Does the heavier line give more action to the lure?

Share the tips? Haha!

Number 1 tip. If you are confident in your terminal gear and bait and not getting bit then move. Don’t be afraid like I was the first 2 days to get in the heart of the fleet. Go kick some butt.

great fishing! What depth were they at? Or how fast were you trolling?

Hey Kobe. It’s hard to say speed because of the Columbia river flow and Okanogan. My gps speed was from .5-1.4 mph. 4-5 oz lead cannonballs 4oz out 25ft on the line counter and 5 oz out 20 ft. Line angles slightly kicked back which is slow. If you get bit look at the line angles and copy that. Boat control is huge. We were in 30-50 ft of water

Well done!! It’s nice when you have it dialed in.

Thanks Mike. Ya the camera paints a good story but like your side mirror reads the boats are a lot closer than seen on camera

I took my son to Brewster and we only caught three Sockeye. Does the dodger matter? Or is it more color, size of beads, blades, and scent?
@NorthwestCatch2 жыл бұрын
Location speed and depth first. Yes dodger plays a huge role in getting these fish to bite. 3 4-5 mm beads and a smile blade. Any color bead will catch sockeye but the pinks and oranges do seem to stand out. If your lure isn’t kicking enough from the dodger you will have a tough day

@@NorthwestCatch I noticed everyone has the old luhr jensen flashers that are 8-9" in length. I can't find these anywhere. I tried the large Mack's Double Ds but I just didn't have any luck. Any thoughts on what to try until I can come up with an old 8 inch dodger? Thank you very much!
Vedder Fly. Quick history. I tied a fly I was not confident in and had not fished yet. I think it was in my box for a year. Dave Vedder saw that fly in my box and started using it with huge success that day. I tied the fly but I ow it all to Dave for using the fly so named it the Vedder Fly. Sold out right now but you can see pictures on FishKokanee.com hit the menu button then scroll down to Vedder Fly. Simple and small Profile is why so many people are having success with it.
