Eagle Rare goes for $55 plus here in Massachusetts, if you can find it. There was one on a shelve in a small store here in Haverhill I saw today and the Indian guy said when asked that if was "probably $51.00", which means it likely would have rang up $55 plus at the register. I just walked out. I already way overpaid $69.00 for the 1st bottle I ever saw in Mass.(I was inn Western Mass.) just to have one in my new and ever expanding collection. Still have it and will keep till I can find another for $45 max.

Widow Jane Decadence was $100 out in Denver for me. Really enjoyable if you like sweet bourbon. Hoping a Peerless store pick I got that came with a Weller Full Proof pick is solid.

For the person wanting an ER10 substitute, a buddy did a blind on me. After I described and picked, he told me what they were. ER10 and RR10. They had same flavor profiles, but the RR10 tasted better crafted while ER10 was rougher, more like an amateur attempt.

Hancock Reserve went up to $100 at Total Wine a few weeks ago. Buffalo Trace confirmed that the MSRP is still $50 via email. Apparently their production was cut in half this year. Either way, I passed on it.

My problem with Eagle Rare and the other BT stuff, aside from the Buffalo Trace bottles, isn’t availability, it’s the astronomical prices. I can find it all day but I’m not spending that kind of money on it.

LA1. For a while i was giving the guy who bought all those barrels and distributes the whiskey bjj lessons at his distillery. I wasnt charging him so he paid me in whiskey. (I still dont like LA1😂)
