One year later, but I can't resist to respond. Basically, the concert is not free at all but already paid by the collective of all German citizens. Every German household is obligated by the law to pay a monthly fee to the public broadcast services. The Hessischer Rundfunk (hr) is one oft them. Sometimes they use the money for delighting and cultural enriching events like this one. Unfortunately, very often they spent the money for utter BS. Sincerly, a German citizen.

I love how in Europe, they throw a bucket full of Neuman mics out like there just normal. As a sound engineer, I'd love to have access to the mic collection they have. Great sound!

I was lucky to be there with a friend, a drummer, to whom Brian Blade is a god - and Brian was kind enough to let me take a picture of them together after the gig. The sound was as perfect as it is in this video - a big 'Thank you!' to hr - your projects and concerts are outstanding, with world-class musicians and perfect sound quality. Danke!

I love the Fellowship for the "orchestral" taste in composition and playing, but with a big band at the highest level around them their music become perfect. The arrangements are really really great!!
