Great vid. Looks good, must check it out. Just FYI (and you did a good job in fairness): Uí Néill = ooh-kneel, Breifne = Breff-knee, Dubhlinn = Dove-lin, Connaught = Con-oct, Ulaid = ooh-lad, Leinster = len-stir Pronunciations within Ireland can change between regions too but the above is pretty accurate feel.

This is really interesting looking. I like the concept of it being driven by trick-taking.

Great review Joel. Got this one last week, haven’t had a chance to get it to the table yet but looks like we’ll enjoy it.

Hi Joel, thanks for the review. If you want to check out a game that takes this type of trick taking mechanism even further for area control, be sure to check out Shamans. Possibly my favorite game released this year.

Is shamans area control? It doesn't look like it.

My bad. Not area control per se, but a similar race or timing for an area completion bonus, and manipulation of area completion, all in the service of a hidden role with a tug of war to win.

Reminds me of both Taj Mahal and the COIN series. I love King of Siam/The King is Dead, so this is definitely on my list. Thank you for the review!
