As you get older you realise how great these two were. Clough as a manager with a brilliant passionate personality and love of the game. Brian Moore as a commentator was the voice of football when I was growing up. Just brilliant and very sadly missed.

There was quite a few great voices of football back then Les, not just Brian M. Motty and David Coleman were my favourites, but Hugh Johns was great when Villa won the league too. Gerry Harrison was brilliant doing Ipswich too. I'm in Manchester but I wasn't a great fan of Gerald Sinstadt to be honest 👌🏽👌🏽

I remember when Nott'm Forest played Celtic in the UEFA Cup 2nd leg , when they were n on route to the match at Celtic Park , Cloughie stopped the team bus outside a Chip shop in Glasgow and bought all the players , staff members , and bus driver , a fish supper each lol : what a character he was - and they still won the match 2-1 .

What white males used to be, ie a man of principle. Thing of the past. Even though he was really before my time, shows how one man can make a difference, if you have a brain and motivation, and principle. You have to hand it to him, what he did, no wonder he had a big ego, and he deserved it. The team i liked when i was young, only one team came to our ground and played football like it should be played, ie on the ground, ie his team. Very unique before the first division became the english premier league. Football in england had all sorts of styles that why it was popular, but you had to be brave back then to not play any long balls. It was very unique in its time to play as brians team forest played, and you either like it or not. Class act as a leader, and you can be sure even the biggest players respected him, as he knew what he was doing, and what he was saying. Proves that you do not need to be a good player to be top manager, you just need a brain to understand how humans are and use it to the best advantage of the team.

Maybe. Maybe not. As many former club managers have found out, managing the national team is a world away from day-to-day club management. However I believe Clough should have been given the chance - provided he had Peter Taylor with him.
@DennisBloodnokPhotographyVideo
@DennisBloodnokPhotographyVideo 2 жыл бұрын
@@SMSJSC Now that really would have been the "Dream Ticket" for England National Football Team Management. Clough as Manager and Taylor as his assistant. Imagine if this double appointment had been made in late-1973 / early-1974 (as replacement for Sir Alf Ramsey) ?? The second-half of the 1970s would certainly have been very different for the England Football Team !!! Maybe, just maybe, England would have edged-out Italy in their qualifying group and gone to the 1978 World Cup ??? But this is all speculation.............

Brian Clough was a class manager of his time. His extraordinary success with Derby and Nottingham Forest proves he was right about most things in football management. As a Newcastle fan I would have loved it if he had managed us. Had he been appointed Sunderland boss, (a job am sure he would have taken if offered), one can only speculate on what he might have achieved. Sadly for Sunderland fans he was the ‘big one’ who got away.

This world is never going back to normal, but will get worse and worse, but Jesus Christ loves you and can save you and wants you to have eternal life. All anyone needs to do is ask Jesus to please forgive all their sins and ask him to come into their lives and hearts and he will save you.
