My brother I am glad you did this remake. We as Christians need to embrace our social responsibility as well as the spiritual. This song resonates with the prophetic meaning that was going on in The Watts riot. We got trigger happy police’s. We can try to be kosher but Black Mothers are cry and languishing over their list. Just because we got saved doesn’t mean we sit still, pray, and meet every Sunday and Wednesday. The COVID-19 shifted that paradigm. Expressing how you feel whether through protest or speech just need to be just what it is. I hope other Gospel artists follow suit and start expressing songs dealing with social injustices. Jesus challenged the injustices of His day. We are committed to not being apart of the world but we forget to be a light in it. Let’s stop being so spiritual that we miss the social aspect of life. It’s one thing to pray for injustices but it’s another to go where it is. People need to be comforted with a song of where they are. That’s what Jesus did, He met them where they was. Another great song that an gospel artist can do is “There is A Riot Going On,” by Sly and The Family Stone. Let’s meet the people where they are. There is a riot going on in people. What you see going on now is a manifestation of that!! Thanks again my brother, Courtney Wilson!!

When Marvin. Gaye released "What's Going On" He was quick to mention God composed the album. He just copied down the notes. With a pandemic killing almost half a million Americans alone. Racism almost being legalized because of corrupt politicians, we need to hear words like those in this song to find our way to equality for all and love in our hearts for each and everyone. We are all facing a struggle and can't do it alone. We have to help each other
