On 23rd March, 2018 The British Library hosted an evening dedicated to musician, artist, activist and thinker Brian Eno. While his recording projects and collaborations are endlessly known, his work as a visual artist covers an even longer span of time and his experiments with light and video have been exhibited all over the globe. The special event showcased a talk from Brian and included music and visuals from some of his installations that have featured in galleries, airports, hotels and public spaces from St Petersburg to the Sydney Opera House. Tickets were extremely limited but for those not lucky enough to attend in person, the event was filmed and highlights compiled into a 2-part film.
Brian Eno's Music For Installations box sets are available to order now from the links below.

I am a Brian Eno disciple and digital music artist, and I have been wondering for years about his method. Thanks for making this accessible, this unlocks the next levels of universal music creation and understanding for me.

Came here from a study music playlist which featured Eno's track Kazakhstan. It's incredible all the thought and complexity that goes into the music I study to.

Eno seems to be focusing on the number two as when he says "there's a difference between two single notes and a chord". Is he intentionally highlighting the power chord in this demonstration? He could have said a chord is three single notes combined to make one chord (which, I think, most people would use as an example of the most popular chords). He could have used four, five, etc., singles notes that make a single chord. He even uses the two pendulums to illustrate his point, although he does indicate that you could add more to the mix. So, again, I'm just wondering if he sees significance in the power chord over other chords? After all, the power chord is a very simple concept yet very complex musically as it is neither a major or minor chord and harmonizes with both.

No I don't think he meant that. 2-note chords can be anything.

That is so right. Power chord can be used literally everywhere. It needs no modulation. They work everywhere

He should have done this in a DAW so we could hear exactly what he means - this is very obscure.
