Brian Head bike park, pretty small but wild and rugged, has a wide range of trails from the gnarly Wildflower to the fast flowy Little Glitter to the easy Color Flow. I spent a day there hitting every trail in the park at least once.

For being a small park, Brian Head has a good variety from green trails up to black and double-black

Thanks! Honestly I am better at riding rough tech than I am jumps. I have very limited opportunities to practice jumping, but I ride rough techy stuff all the time, and it shows when I go to bike parks

This is a fun looking area! Wish I could go here. Great that you're able to travel around and ride the places you do. My wife would never let me do what you do. I've been in Utah for over 15 years and I've ridden in Moab once, Richfield once, and the St. George area twice. That is the extent of my riding in this state. Never even been to Zion.

I am very fortunate to have the ability both with home and with work to get out and about as much as I do. Thankfully my wife likes to do it do (though not near as much as me) and I go too long without an adventure, she chases me out the door cause I'm starting to go crazy

I love the way you did every trail in one video, makes it way easier to find out about the trails there, rather than having to look up multiple videos. I feel like you're the only one who did this, and your riding is pretty amazing. I have to ask, though, what's up with the name miner biker? Is there meaning to this, or is it just a cheesy spin off "Mountain biker" (No offense)
@minerbiker
@minerbiker 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Glad you liked the video format. The "MinerBiker" comes from me being a mine engineer by profession. I work at an underground salt mine in central Utah. Then obviously I love biking too, hence Miner Biker

@@allenpiscitello There are a few other little short connectors and stuff that I didn't identify in the video. Also the new Timber Glitter trail that was not open yet when I was there last year. Super fun trail that's worth hitting! Have fun a BH!

@@minerbiker I noticed Lil Gritty was marked as Single Black on the trail map, but you have it as Double Black, do you know why that might be? I saw someone else listed it as Double Black in a video too.

@@allenpiscitello Trailforks shows it as a single black. But Brian Head has it signed as a double-black. I went with their official designation, not the Trailforks one

Would you bring a dual crown DH bike to Brian head? Or trail bike? Going for the first time at the end of the month and not sure which to bring.
@minerbiker
@minerbiker Жыл бұрын
Personally think a trail bike is just fine at BH. The only trails that a DH bike would be nice to have on are Lil Gritty and Wildflower but even those a trail/enduro bike handles fine

Those trails look quite harsh? Do you drop air pressure in your tires? Or how do you set things up to make the ride a little smoother?
@minerbiker
@minerbiker 2 жыл бұрын
I usually up pressure for Brian Head to prevent flats from all the rock impacts. Suspension setup is key
@307.William
@307.William 2 жыл бұрын
@@minerbiker how would recommend suspension set up? I ride a lot of back country that’s choppy because of horses and wild game.
@minerbiker
@minerbiker 2 жыл бұрын
@@307.William I ride similar stuff like that as well. Usually I'll add a volume spacer or two front and rear to make it more progressive so I can run the pressure a bit lower, allowing for more initial small bump compliance while still ramping up for bigger hits. I don't run any high speed compression damping and very little low speed damping. And fairly fast rebound so it can keep up with lots of little chattery hits
