Congrats to Coach Kelly. Very underappreciated IMO. I think Klatt kinda made the point during the Wisconsin game- "people say he couldn't beat Alabama in the playoffs, well how many how many coaches can say they could". On the other hand, I think heard Kelly himself say they don't put up statues for most wins, they put them up for championships. And that's probably fair enough at a place like ND. But nonetheless, great coach, great play caller, and great representative for ND football. I liken people who want to get rid of him for not winning a championship to the old joke about a dog chasing a bus-- what is it gonna do if it catches it? Ok, fire Kelly. Now what? Who you gonna get that's better? All that having been said, Holtz is my boy, though. Best coach ND ever had.

@@mikebronicki8264 I remember and considered Ara. Although I don't remember his whole career at ND. But I remember Clemens throwing out of the end zone to his tight end (I wanna say his name was Creany but I'm not sure) to seal the Championship vs The Bear and Alabama. That was a great year for college football, btw. Check out the final rankings and records (five undefeated teams) of the top eight teams that season. It's essentially a list of the most iconic programs in college football history (sans Texas). What a great tournament that would have made.
