Domestic Abuse is a behavior learned and usually inherited. The fact that all of his immediate family has closed ranks and shut up in support of him points to an ongoing behavior pattern.
@lucaswalker21843 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It is very likely the family has witnessed Brian's temper and his abusive treatment toward Gabby. In a dysfunctional family, members will have a don't talk, don't trust, and don't feel rule. It may be an unspoken rule, but family members will all abide by it to avoid creating conflict. Denial is another factor that maintains dysfunction in families. Also minimizing or placing blame are other ways that families deal with violence, abuse, or conflict. This family is being silent because what they know and have witnessed could build a case against Brian for DV, violence, assault, and murder. Brian can plead the 5th amendment but other family members can be forced to testify under oath. When all this blows wide open, we will learn that this family has some serious problems.

They can shut themselves in in their house and spend the remaining of their lives there. Small price to pay for your son escaping rest of his life in prison. But this sister of his came out and spoke because she didn't want to look bad like her parents did by keeping shut. She can't lock herself in in the house. She has little kids who attend school. No one in their right mind would want to associate with a person like that. So, she has to pretend to be better than her parents and she came out and spoke some generic stuff that people do when someone dies. And people really thought she's so much better than her parents. What are they doing on the last family camping trip: “saying their last goodbyes” while he is still free. Hope he runs out of hide outs and the authorities quit believing the dirty laudrie family. FBI needs to check into the family business and make sure taxes are paid and other business matters are legitimate. Time to apply pressure to flush this fugitive out. Make them see the their baby boy really could care less about them.

I doubt the police believe his parents. There's just not a lot that they can do right now within the constraints of the law. I'm sure they will, ultimately, find a way/reason to arrest one of them (probably the sister or mom) for leverage, but they have to find a legitimate reason that won't allow them to bail out immediately, or be released on their own recognizance. The family has a lawyer, and they know to keep their mouths shut, so handling them is going to require meticulous strategizing.

Brian returns on the first, so what does he say to his parents and sister as to why Gabby hasn't returned with him. I would have to assume that at some point he had to address why Gabby has not returned with him, at what day/date did that take place? The first day home...between the first day home and the camping trip date {six day period}. I would think that this is very important information.
