All i could think of while watching this is how I love just to see Dr.Brian May, no matter what he does...singing, playing his Red Special or just talking in his kind, calm manner..God, hopefully he stays with us for as long as possible. He's a living treasure!

When Brian played one of the songs from the album to Freddie, and said to him you should sing it, Freddie said no you should, and encouraged Brian to do his solo career, Freddie was at his end of life, said release it and if I kick off it will up the sales🙂❤️ love the song, and reaction.

I love this!! Queen was so multi-talented. I listened to an interview with him and he is so proud of this release and so humble about his expectations. They also have a Queen monopoly game and he made a KZbin video of unpacking it. His demeanor is so calm it makes it easy to forget he's been through a lot, fought through depression, and came back out of it.

Thank you for this wonderful reaction😊 It‘s just fantastic that Brian in this age is still able to keep on going and bring us such beautiful gifts. Don’t really want to think about how long this is still possible☺️. So let’s enjoy, well done🤩👍. I heard an interview Brian gave and he said that when he was thinking about how to “remaster” these songs from this 30 year old album, he realized that he actually ended up being kind of the same “boy”. So this idea came about to travel back in time to go back and keep him company😊🙋🏻‍♀️

These rerecorded/remixed duets can be tricky. Sometimes when it's a posthumous thing like what Natalie Cole and Hank Williams Jr did with their fathers it's pretty cool. What he's doing here is trickier, singing a duet with his past self. Could degenerate into a look at me fest, but Brian still has the chops to pull it off, kudos. Great reaction!

I will never get tired of this video. I love it. It's not only a smart idea. It's an awesome, dreamy, perfect piece of work. As Brian said, they worked frame by frame in the video. How many videos have we seen when a current 75 years old singer/guitarist plays along his 50+ self? And the end is marvelous. He's embracing himself and he's pleased with what he's done. Is there a word stronger than 'love' to express what I feel for this video? Please tell me. Greetings Hap...

Great song and I think the video is very very touching. He performed that in 1992 not long after Freddie had died and made the song while he was still alive. He was sufferring from depression and it's nice to see an older Brian who has come out on the other side. Still suffering from depression, but I'm sure he feels better now than he did back in 92. So when he puts his arm around his younger self I see it as him saying that he'll be OK ❤

This is so COOL! It must be so surreal to watch your younger self performing when you are older. And let’s just take a moment to admire this man’s talent….he has a wonderful voice, such a soft touch to it but still powerful and very uniquely Dr. Brian May. And he still has it! I have listened to him enough that just like Freddie and just like Roger I can pick their voices out in a sea of other voices. They each had their own unique sound, and together made magical harmonies. Such talented musicians, ALL of them. Which made them so special. 💗

I really really Love this song, it's lyrics are so beautiful and the passion in his voice is strong. I guess you could call this Gospel Rock instead of Pop Rock, well at least it sounds like that to me. The girls make it sound like they are a choir. When this video came out it was really unexpected and I was also smiling the whole time because its such a great idea. But I was also smiling because I could finally see Cozy Powell in HD. The song in the beginning is actually the opener of the Back to the Light album 4:08 Brian is singing it. It transitions to Back to the Light so he just put both songs in this Video. Seeing this whole thing in HD brings me hope that he and his team might also try to re release the whole performance in Brixton Academy 1993 in HD. I think he even talked about it in an interview recently but I sadly can't find it. Great Reaction. Edit: btw also 1:47 I couldn't find it, did you maybe mix it up with driven by you? so was this your first time hearing Back to the Light?

As a lifelong Queen fan I find this very sad to watch , looking back to my history with Queen since 1974 I find it difficult to see Brian and Roger aging , when I was a kid I hoped they would always be young ! Queen have been my religion for nearly fifty years , I can always find a song or album that will make everything okay when things aren't really okay . 🙂

What a great suggestion for a video reaction 😛 My take was thinking about if I could go back and comfort or talk to my younger self, when going through a tough time (the arm around his shoulder) what would I say. Which time in my life would I go back to? That was my thoughts when I saw it in the freaking middle of the night when the video was released live. Sadly it also shows that Dr Bri for sure isn't getting any younger and I don't want to even think about that. Then again I guess none of us are.

Apparantly the title and the song came about because Brian was in a dark place in his life, as over the years his marriage broke up in the late 80s due to his affair with now wife Anita, and his dad dying, then of course Freddie dying. Brian almost contemplated suicide by driving off a bridge. He said it crossed his mind, how easy it could be to simply drive off the edge. But he said he thought about his family and kids. Brian has suffered from depression quite a lot, last Christmas being one of them. So this song was Brian's redemption as if to say there is light at the end of the tunnel... hence "back to the Light".

Such an excellent concept. The light singing, in the beginning, is Brian singing "The Dark" which is the first song of the album, before "back to the light". Brian has said that in revisiting the album and reflecting on who he was and himself now, he's mostly still the same person. He recently released a video with commentary on the music video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJ7EeKRolJ2rbac He has often said that he's felt like a time traveler, such as while touring with Adam Lambert. His skills as a musician, lyricist/poet, and just as a renaissance man and human being, he is truly one of a kind! This world is so much better with him in it! Bless him!

HAP, am not sure how you nail things on the head so accurately, but you're kinda scary. (In a Good way). Yes, at the beginning , it IS a lullaby. Brian mentioned, in fairly recently interviews about this release, that he remember his mom singing it him when he was a kid. He then mused if that bit stuck with him when he thought up the title "We Will Rock You".

And not cause I don’t like Brian, but I just don’t always love his solo singing much. But it is quite good and kind of fun to see him with himself!!! Really funny 90s backup singers in their white “jog bras”!!! It’s very clever and your reaction is great Hap! Crazy that this was the year after Freddie died. Brian had to do something, he was overcome with grief he said. And needed to keep busy.
