Hi Alison and Brian! My son (22) took me to see you (Brian) in Dunedin NZ also! It was so wonderful. When I asked my son how he knew all the words he replied that I had played all the Queen songs every Friday and Saturday night, glass of wine in hand, while he and his sister were growing up - so how could they NOT know them??? What a wonderful night it was! Thank you Brian!

Big hug, ever since I saw that Show Must Go On documentary... He’s a special soul, they all are. This thing about depression... is because he’s often too conservative to allow for change of pov. I think this year they should do a Freddie commemoration on his passing. Symbolic of that change, you know? It’s not healthy to celebrate a dead person’s *birthday* for so long, or even his “achievements” in that worldly sense. I didn’t want to accept it either for many years but it’s because I didn’t know enough. Brian felt that he had let Freddie down (those interviews years ago) and that’s why he’s still attached to the old. Adam believes Freddie is a spirit now, I hope he can get that across to them in the end because as said, they are truly appreciated and special.

@fryke4 жыл бұрын
@@alexkx8599 I would love it. However, the title here is misleading. Brian wasn't teasing it, the interviewer was merely asking about it and he brushed it off more or less. Teasing about such an album was done about 5-6 years ago and obviously hasn't happened so far. There's still hope, of course.

@Patrick Armbruster I'm not toally sure about this, but I don't think they can legally produce anything under the Queen name without John Deacon's approval. Unfortunately he hasn't spoken with his former bandmates in years so I don't think anything like that will ever happen...
@fryke4 жыл бұрын
@@janedoe0987 They've been doing a lot under the Queen+ moniker, and I think they've got that down. John Deacon's main wish is to remain outside of it. So they simply can't release anything as "Queen", but they sure can as "Queen + Adam Lambert".
@fryke4 жыл бұрын
@MusicAnalyst Reactions Oh look, a hater! ;) John didn't retreat because he thought Brian and Roger were in some way "fake". He just wanted to close the book on a story, that to him was finished. To Roger and Brian: It simply wasn't. Get over it and let them have their thing, which is being famous rockstars. Don't like it? Shuddup about it and go look for music you actually like, I say. Hating on other people's fun is some of the lowest things you can do.

Brian looked tired and extremely vulnerable here, my heart went out to him. Also I think this year they should do something to commemorate Freddie’s passing - Brian says it’s not healthy, but what’s not healthy is to celebrate a dead person’s birthday after all this time, as if he were still alive. It means he can’t let go of the past, or even entertain the possibility that Freddie might have an existence in a different place. Adam actually believes that, Freddie living on as a spirit. So he might even be around but different, and that change is important because it means peace. Imprisoning him into what was leaves no place for what is. During these years of Queen’s rebirth it has become clearer. I agree that we shouldn’t be quick on celebrating immediately after someone’s death based on unverified and callous assumptions about whatever afterlife some believe in, it wouldn’t be human to do that... But it’s been 30 years... so maybe we are now in that better world and need to let the past go.

@MusicAnalyst Reactions Well, it will sound different if John and Freddie aren't part of the composition and Adam is. But with Roger and Brian's input there will be similarities. Not too many famous rock stars like Brian May. I think he really cares about his fans. ❤️ true gentleman
@AdinaIspas3 жыл бұрын
No offense but Freddie is dead. Continuing to celebrate his birthday for so long is denial of truth and attachment to the old. No-one is saying that they should have danced in the streets when Freddie died, we are all human... but this year nevertheless they should hold some sort of closure event. Just in order to become able to see the spiritual side, like Adam does, to symbolize change.

Never thought that Brian May, who made a career from music, was doing something similar. As for COVID, the natural way is for microorganisms to rise to the challenge of getting past our defenses. For those creatures it can come down to survival. This is not really that issue, though it is apparently human malpractice of all wako things. Creating the "frankenstein microbe" that is not a natural pathogenic critter is the brainchild of what kind of maniac?
