This one is a BMG, not the real one, as others have pointed out. If I recall correctly, during the first lockdown Dr. May was home without the Red Special, but with this BMG, a cheap Vox modeling amp and not much more. But his sound is himself, as we hear. And yes, the original underwent a full restoration by Greg Fryer and Andrew Guyton, who also built a few replicas for him. This happened around the end of the Nineties. Nevertheless, it is astonishing that Dr. May was able to design and build his lifetime dream instrument with his father when he was just a kid.

Standard guitars can NEVER achieve perfect intonation. That is why music played on them has always been considered raucous, rebellious and vile by classical criteria. In fact, guitars that have their frets modified to remove the demonic off-tones sound sterile and dead.

This day in age is amazing. I can get a guitar lesson straight from Brian May! No more being confused with tablature that probably isn't accurate anyway. Just amazing. Thanks for doing this Brian! It means alot to us fans. I'm 37, been playing something like 20 years, always wanted to learn the killer queen solo, that and we will rock you solo because it's one of the coolest solos in history.
