Absolute classic stand up. Everyone says Brian Regan is one of the greats but look how underrepresented this is!

I can honestly say Brian is the funniest comedian I have ever heard. Pure legion.

I put him up there with Jerry Seinfeld. Very intelligent and he knows how to connect with many different audiences. He works clean which gives him broad appeal. Seinfeld too. Steve Martin was HILARIOUS because of his creativity. Eddie Murphy was HILARIOUS because of his composure & story telling skills. Just my opinions.

That fact he is 100% clean blows the mind.

@Nicky NJ/ In one of his interviews, he said that when he first started he worked clean yet he had some edgy material. ( I don't know just how edgy it was. I can't see Brian behaving anywhere close to someone like Sam Kinison who was horrendous.) Then he saw the effects, both pros and cons, on various audiences. Not too long after that he decided that he wanted to be know as 100% clean. Which, in my opinion, is the best practical approach. But too, it was what he was most comfortable with. Some audiences want cursing. They want to hear it. I understand that it varies depending on many factors. Yeah. Brian likes to work clean. I believe that he has the perfect personality for clean stand-up. Not sure but I think he's ranked close to the very top these days.

@@christopherbramwell8262 Thank you. When Brian jokes about his childhood it reminds me of my childhood. Sitting in the back of a station wagon wonder what the signs say. Avoiding eye contact with cars that stop behind yours. The bicycle jump, getting hurt and yelling, get some leaves.... we actually did that once.... so so funny. Then his routine about a fictitious older brother, Ted, that didnt want to speak to a younger brother, God that is so funny.

@pb6270/Brian Regan has many humorous things to say. I think that one of his best pieces of material is where he is talking about just trying to check into a hotel after he has already made a reservation. His reservation was not made correctly because it's not under his name. The person at guest services during check-in can't find it. And realistically, those things do innocently happen. But his perspective on it is hilarious to me. Just because Brian makes the situation seem as if he's responding to a "goofball clerk". The guest services representative asks him if he made his reservation under another name. He says, "why would I do that"? In all of the years of making hotel reservations for myself when the long distance phone reservationist asked me what my name is, all of a sudden, that's when I went "off the rails". Then to be even more effective as a stand-up, he has to exaggerate the whole thing by adding: type in "zippiddy doo-dah". No, you brought it up. Let's go with it. See where it takes us." Because people can identify with the frustration of being tired and some other frequent hassles and just wanting to check in and get to your room. Yeah, I thought that was hilarious. "When I made the reservation and was asked what my name is, that's when I "went off the rails". " Good stuff.

Kids: if you want a career in comedy, get a job at IHOP. Both Brian Regan and Paula Poundstone worked there.
