14.28 ... gee Brian, 'work on your strengths ... Find a place to fall down' Thank you for these words and thoughts, I've been grappling with directional issues with my work and this just made me see I shouldn't do that. Stick with what you know, in other words.

Thanks, Brian, weirdly inspirational as ever. Somehow manage to cut through all the “guff” with something that sounds so much like the guff but isn’t. Genius.

The most powerful part of your paintings is when you put a pile of paint on your gloved hand, slide it on the canvas and go for it!! So gutsy, brave and I’m ready to try it! Love your formula for the linen color for sides of painting too! You’re our leader🎨👷

I love your words about all the urging to evolve. It always perplexed me. Evolve to what? For what purpose? I would much prefer to go deep and simple rather than scattered and complex. I like the idea of settling in and focusing. (Perhaps the point of the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.)

Thank you for all your amazing videos. Your wisdom and humor inspire me to become a full-time artist. After doing your small juried exhibitions, when was your big break that turned you into a full-time artist? What were the art business practices that you did to get you there? Thanks for any insight you can provide :-)

Great thoughts/ lessons, thank you for sharing. In ‘The Wrestlers’ the outer legs are a similar value (and the inner legs too) which gives the impression of one mass of a body with a wide & stable stance. Will you bring in some more female artists from history too, please 🙂

I have bought your book 'Seeing clear spaces' and somewhat feeling the work which goes in creating your paintings. But I am still confused about the process of your paintings; I want to paint like you, but I am intimated to use thick paints or paint in layers. Can u guide me more? Any more books with colored imagery which explains use of color by you? Or one on one training with u?

I was there in the 80's and later in the 90's doing much the same! Been there, done that! Better you than me for now! Have fun. Oh my, what a dump! Cleanup up that SHIT!!! Hah! LOL. Looks like my place! As you said, I too was the first artist I ever met. That was at age 6. I remained the only artist I knew for a while. In the 7th grade art class I thought I found another, but eventually realized she, the art teacher, was not an artist but a wonderful lover of art who promoted me and reminded me I could do what ever I choose. Other teachers told me I could not, but that I had to let go of art and be an academic. Unfortunately, I did both, but I let go of academia as profession along with business as profession and have consecrated all my energy in painting for many years now. I appreciate all of my life and have no regrets. Everything relates. I still know very few artists, but I know of many and have interacted with many artists over the years. For me, there has never been competition, except within myself, but only sharing. Life is good! Thanks Brian, good to see you again. Though it's not immediate initially, but I think you work like Milton Resnick and Pat Passlof much more than is so obvious.
