I love my Sub Zero 3 stuff and would have been just as upset if I had craftsmanship issues like you did. Instead I've had nothing but great results from them and could be convinced to buy again when it's time to replace these. Thanks for your honest to God review.

I have never had a bad experience with Brian's. Ordering process for a complete set of custom gear was very easy and they nailed every detail, not to mention that the pads themselves are phenomenal. I'm not saying that they didn't screw up your order, I just don't want people to be completely turned off to Brian's because of this. Do your research, find what company and pad is best for your style, and go for it.

I wouldn't not buy because of this video I wear them and I've had them for 2 seasons and I can get another season out of them, I guess everyone has different experiences with their stuff. I think they're great pads. I wear gnetik 2 retro air PAC

Brian's makes great stuff. But yes, they do forget stuff. Also, their pre-order communication isn't great. I had to effectively re-order a new set within one year because of things that were not disclosed. The second set I was hosed out of color selections I would have made, but were told were not available. Fun stuff. That said, it's all built very well and looks great.

Bauer has asked me not to speak about the problems between him and I, I value my working relationship with Bauer and wouldn't sacrifice that for a video on a guy like that. All I'll say is that if it wasn't for KVG, this video you're watching would not have happened at all.

I agree. I have Brian's currently & although everything came perfect, there's a lot of my pad that's breaking down. They're classic brown but it little wore out in sections almost immediately & the velcro stitching slowly breaking down. I'm not disappointed, but I will definitely switch back to Vaughn's with my next set.

Don't make assumptions based on one bad experience tendies. Brian's is fantastic and I have used three set of their gear so far. Love the feel, quality and they are Canadian made! Can't beat Canadian made gear.

Brians was hyped and now it's the G3's. Every brand has their faithful fans and then there's the "hype" buyers. All brands make quality products, it's the little things like this that make the companies stand out above the rest. I personally switched from Bauer (hate the new stuff) and went to CCM for this reason. There's consistent quality and they have great customer service. Only downside are the knee landing areas constantly peel or so it seems. I'm hoping this has been fixed with the newer models.

The premature wearing, discolouration and chafing after just two (2) to three (3) ice times was precisely what I experienced with the Bauer 1S catcher. I cannot speak for the Subzero 3 but the Brian's G-Netik 3 catcher is significantly better both in terms of craftsmanship and materials compared to that of the Bauer 1S manufacturing of its catchers. That being said, the Bauer 1S pads and blocker have little to no durability issues (unlike the catcher) and are amazing. I didn't particularly like the Brian's G-Netik 3 pads; however, I loved the glove and it is significantly better than the Bauer 1S both in terms of performance and especially durability. I like and respect you; however, your review of the Bauer 1S catcher was biased in that you called the durability issues "minor" when in fact they are significant. I also note that even in this video you impugn the pads and blocker (finger protection) but not the catcher. It's telling that the Brian's catcher is its best product, still!

I use Brian's rn and they are the most comfortable easy sliding pads once broken into and I have not had one thing wrong w them besides me having my laces over on the bottom of the pads for my personal prefernce

I got a full setup of Brian SubZero 7.0's and there really good and I would recommend it to anyone, but I find it total bullshit that Brian accused you of screwing up the pads. And the fact is why advertise your products "great specs" when half your customers don't even get there name spelled right on the pads.

My son has used Brian's pads (33+2s) for the past 2 seasons and they have held up great. The quality is head and shoulders over the Vaughn V5s he used before that. I did manage to dent one pad on the thigh area during practice, but haven't noticed any more dents. i was hoping this would be a review of the new G3s as I'm thinking of getting some for his next set.

I have always played whit brian´s (still playing). order brians sub zero 3 for this season an have had no problem whit them or my costume made order, and i live in Sweden so i am happy that i it was no problem. Brian’s is the best pad brand out there. For a high school goalie who doesn’t customize his gear, idc about the custom name and pad graphics. I have the gnetik pros and they are the best pads. They are 5x better than Bauer and they are neck and neck with ccm. I get the frustration. Regardless how big ur company is. Thats f***ed up

HippityHippoHopsin I use the G3's and they are the best pad I've ever worn. I've been using them almost every day except for Sundays and Fridays almost since they came out. There isn't a single tear in the stitching. They slide amazingly and are all around a solid pad. If you're looking for another solid brand try CCM, Vaughn and Bauer like Trav said.

If you are going to pay the price like that for pads there is a guy his name is Dennis at factory mad pads he makes really good pads he will make them how you like them very customizable with whatever you want for pads designs or straps. Also he hand crafts everything he puts the customer first before the money he wants to hear about your input he will also give u demos to try before you buy. If anything breaks on the pad he will ship it to u and you will have the strap or leather in by the next day.

trav4oilers first off, oh my god, Travis responded (that’s pretty cool) but in my opinion Brian’s is my favorite brand because of how innovative they are and I can always trust a Brian’s pad, at least I don’t buy my stuff based on what the nhlers do (not saying that you do or anything) but ccm has its problems and warrior goes too far on the gimmicks (not disrespecting your brand or anything) but Brian’s gear highlights my style of play and it’s what I like.

I've been using Brian's since I started playing, and all my orders have been completely customized, but this was only strapping and graphics. I think you're problem here was you wanted to try and completely change the original base of the pad. Sub 3's are not supposed to have knee roles, so that was probably a huge challenge for the makers at Brian's. They can't just try and design a completely new pad to please a customer. That's probably why the quality was lacking.
